Joining the Sky tomorrow and I agree with Captain Morgan. If you think how well the rooms and ship are maintained when we are on board, without passengers and everyone getting involved I have no doubt everything we be fine.

On our last trip we used the pool frequently. We found that about 4pm it got chilly if the roof was closed. We think this was to reduce the temperature for the afternoon tea. So it seems they can control the temperature in this area. We were positioned near the Wintergarden.
We also found that the Wintergarden was little used during the day. But as always plenty of peaceful spots around the ship.

Viking Sky just leaving Vestbase, Kristiansund for Copenhagen arriving on Friday. Has taken less than 8 days in port. We have been informed that a handful of minor cosmetic repairs are outstanding and work will likely continue while we are on board.

Yes it is in dock and arrived in that location on Wednesday 27th March for repairs straight from Molde.

Viking Sky Update
All scheduled sailings for the Viking Sky will be operating as planned from April 6.
From the web site - good news as I am on this cruise.
The ship is still at Vestbase, Kristiansund where it arrived on Wednesday 22nd March so it should be due to leave shortly for Copenhagen.

I have followed this topic with interest and thank all the experts who have contributed. We are on the next cruise boarding on the 6th April. The ship is currently at Vestbase Kristiansund where it arrived on Wednesday. The latest information is the cruise will go ahead.
I will not take any photographs of other passengers unless I get written approval!

We used Best Guides in SPB. I wanted to make the most of our visit so we booked a private tour for two. A very knowledgeable guide and a great driver [Mercedes E Class] who dropped us off right outside the various places. We had a very extensive programme and it was worth every penny. The booking was very easy like the other firms you pay on the last day. Visas are not necessary, you use the paper they send you and it was a quick process going through passport control.

Hi
If you go onto the Viking Website there is an interactive deck plan it looks identical to the other ships.

Unlike the other reviewers I found the
cruise to Pulpit Rock poor. I had high expectations of the excursion but was disappointed. Nothing much to see when you arrive at the rock, we saw the goats, had some waffles [as if we needed more food!] and to me wasted a good deal of time in between. We went through Viking and the boat was crowded on top and undercover was drab. The highlight excursion was the sea plane, worth every penny.

On board the Sky good weather so far. Sunny but cold today in Gothenburg. We have a new Captain. The previous one is on vacation.
