  1. We were on that sailing of the Equinox, and all the hour of work the Executives did was provide chaos. We were in Cafe El Baccio waiting for our coffees when 2 Executives attempted to serve guests. It was a total "photo op only" with a server, the Executive and 2 photographers and a PR person following. The Cafe was jam packed as it was a sea day, and service literally came to a standstill as everyone tried to step over each other. the Executives should definitely just travel undercover to see truly how cutbacks effect the product.

For us, (and we have sailed many, many times with Celebrity), this was our last cruise with them. They no longer represent a Premium product, and we will once again return to HAL and Princess. Celebrity, to us, is now a glorified Royal Caribbean step child.

Forget the "lukewarm meals" in the MDR.  My hope is that they can't check in with their offices because their "premium" internet sucks, and they can't find anything decent to watch on their cabin TVs during their downtime.

We were in cabin 7286 and which is a "dead spot" for internet we found out. By Day 2, we were so frustrated with the Premium package, we went down to the IT Desk to find out if we had the correct settings. The IT Staff Manager came up to our cabin within 30 minutes and used a meter to determine we were in a dead zone with limited access. He left our cabiln and came back 20 minutes later with a WiFi extender and plugged it in. From then on , we had lightning fast internet.

Hopespringseternal , but if the quality issues keep declining there will be a point where people say enough. Not only on X , but any cruise line where the experience keeps going the wrong way.

The same thing happens on land based venues. We used to really enjoy Disney years ago and didn't feel like we were being robbed to go. That ship has sailed ( No pun intended ) for us.

We were on this Equinox sailing as well with the executives. They chose to "assume staff duties" for what was an hour and seemed like only a photo op. We were having coffee at Cafe El Bacio when it was jammed, and the executives only created chaos. We left and came back later. After this cruise, we have decided, even as Elite members, that this was our last Celebrity cruise. It no longer can be classified as "Premium Cruising". The ship was always noisy and felt terribly tired.  It  seemed like now it is just a glorified Royal Caribbean cruise. We will be returning to Princess and Holland America.

While I truly like the Equinox and its fantastic crew , the ship has not missed any dances and can probably use as much refurbishment as X is willing to pay for.

Totally agree. We were on the same cruise, and felt the ship looked very, very tired. Immaculately clean, but tired non the less.Faded carpets, a lot of exterior rust , faded paint, worn furniture, and we had to put a  towel on our balcony rail to avoid splinters. Very disappointed that this beautiful ship has been left by the way side in favor of her newer, more glamorous sisters.

  5. Have not cruised since the end of the Pandemic (been RVing instead). Just checked in for our upcoming Equinox cruise in October, and noticed you must pick a pier check in time. How strict are they with the time? We love getting on the ship early (since we live close by in Florida), and the earliest we could get was 1PM. We are in a Verandah cabin (not a Suite) and are Elite Celebrity cruisers. Can you just show up early, or will they make you wait until your designated time?

Any updated information would be greatly appreciated.

Be aware if you are talking about the two larger mini suites on Deck 10, those are accessible cabins, You will see it in the description on the deck plan..  If you are not handicapped you will be moved if they need the accessible cabin for someone who is.  Had this happen a long time ago on the Regal.

No, it is C428, next to the handicapped cabin. Just booked the 2 7 night sailings and put a deposit on them.

  7. Plan on booking a back to back on Enchanted Princess May 2024. I noticed that you can book the entire trip as one 14 day trip. The cabin selection is not as favorable, as when you book each segment separately. Is there any benefit to booking the whole trip as a one 14 day trip versus 2 separate 7 day trips? The cabin I want is available as 2 seven days versus no availability on the 14 day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  8. Booked to sail on the Carnival Legend July 19, 2024, 9 nt. British Isles Cruise. Have not sailed on Carnival in a while, and have read a lot about the AARP Gift cards. Many here purchase them for cruise payment at a savings. Question: What happens if you cancel? Is the balance returned as a credit or in gift cards? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

  9. Booked a cruise on the Carnival Legend to the British Isles in July of 2024. Thinking of taking the train from London to Dover the day before the sailing on July 19th. Any good hotel suggestions in Dover near the cruise port? If not near, are taxis readily available? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  10. We are looking to sail this Fall on the 6 night Equinox itinerary. Looking at Deluxe Verandah cabins 7286 or 7288. I know they are extended verandahs and that 7286 is larger. Is the difference in size that great? 7286 looks like a tunnel, making the cabin seem dark. Leaning towards 7288. Also, which is more preferable, the bed by the balcony or the bed by the door?

Any assistance in helping to make our decision would be greatly appreciated.

    Happy sailing to all!!!

  11. Good Day All-

We are Elite Past Passengers with Celebrity, but have not sailed with them in several years. Life just sometimes gets in the way.

We are planning a Fall trip in October on the Equinox in Concierge Class and we have a few questions:

    1. Have all the Concierge Cabins (especially those on Deck 9) been upgraded or refurbished?

    2. Is there still a DR Embarkation Lunch and does anyone have a sample menu?

Any help with regards to our questions would be greatly appreciated.

We are excited to be returning to our cruise line of choice after so much time away.

Thanks in advance for all your assistance.

  12. From reading CC boards, Princess uses a pre-selected boarding time similar to Carnival. For those who sailed from Southampton in the Summer of 2022, do they follow the boarding times strictly or are they less stringent in Europe? I am arranging a private transfer to the pier and they ask for a preferred time of arrival. Boarding times are not available yet for July, so I randomly selected 1230PM.

When do boarding times normally become available.

    Any assistance greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  13. Sailing on Regal Princess British Isles Cruise July 2023. Will be spending 3 nights pre cruise in London. Want a hotel in or near the West End. Looking at Piccadilly Hotel West End and The Strand Palace. Does anyone have a review or opinions on these hotels or any that you may suggest instead. Not wanting to spend a fortune, but hoping to spend around $450.00 per night including VAT. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  14. Have not travelled Princess in quite a few years, so I feel like a "novice" cruiser again  with so many changes. Presently holding a Mini Suite (C 427). Is this balcony larger due to the angle, or should I change to a different balcony? Also, they asked if I wanted to WL an upgrade to Club Class. Is this worth it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Wonder why we cant book online prior to sailing, like before .

Seems like they are back to almost normal sailing conditions .

Dont know what holding off bookings until you are on board accomplishes.

It really makes the boarding process so much more enjoyable when you don't have the worry of trying to get show times that fit your schedule. I don't know what it accomplishes either.
