  1. I just came back from the Hawaiian cruise. Norwegian provides lot of shuttle services. We rented a Jeep in Maui and Kuaui. Budget shuttle provides shuttle round trip. In Kona there is shuttle to Walmart/Target.

  2. I just got off the POA today. We went south of Hilo to the lava flow, floated by and then turned and went north to Kona. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Bucket list item, actually. You could see the glow for about an hour before we got there and several hours after we left. They had a commentary about the lava flow and you could see the lava river. You could also see lots of small areas along the coast where the lava was entering the water. Between the lava and the Napali coast in Kauai (and everything else) it was an amazingly cruise.

We will be on the 9/1 sailing. My first time in Hawaii. I am ecstatic to see this!

  3. Hilton Marina is a beautiful hotel with a view of the cruise port. Several restaurants are within walking distance. I think we may have eaten at a japanese restaurant a few years ago. There is a drug store within walking distance to purchase wine and soft drinks. Its a CVS or a Walgreens.

  4. We did self assist as well. We got off the Legend and made our way across the street to the "pizza" shape as indicated (a 2 minute walk from the port). We stopped there, DH called the driver listed on the card and literally he showed up less than 1 minute later. Ride to the car was very minimal- 2 to 3 minutes maybe? Lot is gated and fenced. Man was nice. I was very happy!

I agree with your review of Capital Parking. We used their services last week while we were on the Carnival Paradise. I couldn't have asked for more prompt service and Mike was a super nice guy.

  5. In 2001, my sister and I went on our first cruise to Key West and Cozumel. While in Key West, we went on a catamaran and snorkeling excursion. While sunbathing and drinking, we sat next to a man, his brother, his wife and 2 kids. We talked to them for quite awhile and took several pictures. All of them were very nice and down to earth.

Next day someone commented on how cool was it that Rusty Wallace and his brother Kenny were on our excursion. Now I am not a Nascar fan but my sister is. We both asked which one was Rusty. They go you know the man you talked to for hours? Yes! That's him. So I have pics of Rusty in his bathing suit. lol

I am a HUGE Rusty Wallace fan. I would love to see your pictures!
