  1. No.

Did you use the card just while ON the cruise for on-board purchases? Or did you use it pre cruise for the deposit and final payments. If so did you do this on-line through a web browser?

Did you use the card in port?

I used it for all things RCCL and nothing else. Wait til they try to get their final onboard $$ tomorrow and the card is closed!

  2. "We watched the occasional person sit at a table in the Concierge Lounge until they got their drink and then walked out with it. Our suite concierge, Francis, never said a word about it."

That's because the lounge is also for diamond plus and pinnacle who have drinks loaded on their cards every night so what's the sense of saying no carrying drinks out? Francis does play by the rules but he picks his battles.

  3. On Brilliance right now- D+. We had planned to each use our 2 days of free internet but it turned out that the package for one device was $80 so it was all free. I have it on my laptop and my husband has it on his phone. May be a distraction though- do we really need it all the time?

Slow when everyone is onboard- Ok other times.

  4. My husband speaks fluent Norwegian and stopped to talk to the captain in Chops on the Brilliance last year. They had several Norwegian places in common. We were invited to dinner with him on that trip which was a lovely idea but because of the male/female seating arrangement, I was the one sitting beside him and we had nothing to talk about! It was too loud and too rude for them to lean over me for conversation- slightly awkward dinner!

  5. Sitting on the back of the Jewel in Juneau right now. Took some cc advice and booked city tour and Mendenhall right beside the tram. Perfect. $35 each- plenty of time to do it all at the glacier. The salmon are running right now-what a sight.

The city tour was great-lots of interesting sights and facts. It was the blue bus company-no idea of the name.

Saw at least 100 whales from the ship this morning. It was well before Juneau in Stephen's Passage. Close to our wake a lot of times.

My att 3G is working well here. Husband's Verizon, also.

  6. Panama City Beach arrived on Liberty of the Seas! I was on Liberty of the Seas this past sailing (Feb.28-March5). I agree with the previous post about the out of control, drunk, super aggressive college kids. I'm not sure what RCI was thinking when they allowed over 1000-1500 (reported by staff-not sure how true)college aged kids on board. It did not seem like they were prepared with enough security to handle the issues that we dealt with on this cruise. At the muster drill ( C-14)they were loud, did not pay attention and brought drinks in hand-I know because I had one spilled down my back. On our deck (9) we awoke the to beach towels strewn down the hall. It looked and smelled like vomit. I'm not sure if the beach towels were laid there by staff or if the college kids had just tried to cover the mess. Kudos to the room attendants who dealt with this-by the afternoon everything was back in order. The out of control drinking and behavior was disturbing to watch. Our waiter commented that he had never seen the pool so crowded and "crazy" and by end of cruise said many(75) had been confined to staterooms. I'm not sure how true-just reporting what was said.

I have raised 4 kids and still have an 18 year old at home, so I'm around teens and young adults a lot. I have never witnessed such crass behavior with such complete disregard of others. The drinking and sexual behavior was no laughing matter. These are foreign flagged ships and RCI will not be held responsible. I am thankful that we did not lose one of these students overboard or some kind of drunk accident-it could have easily happened!

Watched the Liberty kids from our aft balcony on Brilliance. They deliberately taunted the security people along the dock, crossing the red line designed to keep them safe. Not just one or two-many. No respect for anyone. I wondered when or if the ship would even be able to leave Cozumel.

Not old cranks- we are both college professors on OUR spring break!

  7. The internet isn't too bad at 2am, LOL. This 4-day is a lot quieter than the previous 5-nighter. The Spring Breakers were quite a rambunctious crowd. At least 3 wheeled back from port at Cozumel, not quite conscious either. Wouldn't envy that hangover!!

The engines seem to be working fine, not that I know much about it, but we're arriving at all the right places on time.

Enjoying the nice weather for the next few days till I have to return home to snow :(

We were on Brilliance parked next to Liberty in Cozumel. Sat on our aft balcony and watched the show. Kids were ridiculous. I felt so sorry for the 2 officers trying to keep them from tumbling off of the dock. As we left I knew LOS would be a little late leaving. We saw kids get OFF and run to Senor Frog's when everyone else was getting on.

Brilliance had very few spring breakers for some reason.

  8. We live in Baltimore and we just love the Grandeur. Sometimes we drive down to Harris Teeter across from the port just to look at her and to see friends from the crew. The CREW- very special people. Undoubtedly the friendliest and happiest of any ship I've sailed. We have many happy memories because of them.

Flying to Tampa today to board Brilliance- wondering why we have to go so far, but Lady G is doing longer cruises than we have time for right now.
