Appears to be an occupancy restriction in which lifeboat capacity has been reach.  You can book with 2 guests but not more than 2.

Ok!  Thanks for the help!  I really appreciate it.  Didn't get me any closer to making a booking but at least I know to forget about this one.  Unless hubby says to just go for the 2 bedroom but I'd rather not go that high unless we're talking big ship suites with better amenities.

I have had the same thing happen on various sailings (various ships and season over at least the last 8-12 months) - I will click on the suite it shows is available (mostly OS snd GS, but also JS snd 2 bd GS) and then I get that same message saying to make another selection as that suite isn’t available. I agree that it is frustrating and I would also love to know why.

Frustrating indeed.  But at least I know it's not just me. 😉

The owners suite is available for 2 guests but not 3.

    Royal suite not available.

Two bedroom GS available for either 2 or 3 guests.

This is from the site that is available for travel agents.  Looks like the public site is a bit messed up.

Thanks for the research!  I do appreciate it.  Do you think I would be able to book 3 people in the Owners suite if I called?  I wonder why not 3?  I guess I assume all suites have the couch with a pull out bed.  I usually book through the casino.  If so, I'll be on the horn in the morning to find out.

    What specific dates and ship?

    A current example would be:
12/12 - 12/20 on Grandeur (8 night SE Coast)  I'm booking for 3 people, 2 adults and one child.

The suite booking option shows "Owner's Suite - 1 bedroom for $1499pp."  When I click on that option I get the blue bar that says "Owner's Suite - 1 Bedroom Staterooms are not available.  Please review another option below. Once a selection has been made, you can proceed."

The Grand Suite 2 bedroom takes you right to the cabin booking screen.  The Royal Suite option now gives me the blue bar message.

  5. I have been online shopping around for Nov/Dec and I keep getting the blue bar that says "Junior Suite state rooms are not available, please review another option below."  Yet it shows the option to click on Jr Suite and the price for the suite rather than just not being shown if the category was indeed sold out like on many other itineraries.  If I had a dollar for every time I saw that little blue bar today. LOL  I'm mostly looking at Grandeur and Anthem sailings.

I guess my question is - do we know if that means there are rooms potentially still available?  As in, maybe they're on hold but not actually sold and that's why the option to click on Jr Suite wasn't removed from the suite booking section?  Or is this just another one of those fabulous RC IT dept glitches? 😉 Just curious if I still have a chance with any of my suite options?

I don't see they'd credit it back, as they're separate packages. The Key is broader, and not specific internet so I don't see it credited back as they couldn't put a value of the internet component of key - and wouldnt' give you a full credit as it's a package (so each component isn't valued in full).

The Key includes internet as part of the program -- it's not a separate line item.

So your Diamond coupon wouldn't be "applied as a credit" on board because you wouldn't be buying anything on board if you already had The Key.

You could, however, purchase an extra device's internet access with your Diamond coupon.  But you wouldn't get any money back off your purchase of The Key.

Thank you both!  That answers my question. 🙂

    Not sure I’m following you.

are you going to use your Diamond coupon for another account or did you want to be able to access 2 acoounts.  You won’t get any money back.

I'm guessing I misunderstood your original answer.  Moot point now as we're not going to purchase the key.  We made our decision tonight.  For the record, I was just looking to see if could get my single day of internet service credited to my account if I purchased the key.  And based on your answer about going down to the kiosk to get a credit I assumed that's what you were telling me to do.  I wanted the credit for my day of free internet applied if I was able to use it to save myself money.  If I'm not able to do that, that's fine.  But that was my question.  Never once did I mention the intention to let someone else use the credit.  Maybe I didn't make that clear enough.

You can still use your D internet vouchers.  You may need to go to the internet kiosk that they have set up and get them to override it but you can definitely still use them.

we had a similar situation at Christmas.  We had purchased the soda and Voom package so out D voucher did not show as I already had a package.  The staff at the kiosk were able to add it to any other account that I wanted.

Perfect, that's exactly the answer I was looking for.  If we decide to go with The Key I'll head on down to the kiosk to have my Diamond coupon applied.  Thanks so much!

I'm not sure I understand your question.... do you mean can you still "purchase" a free day of internet on board with your Diamond coupon and let someone else use it?

No, my question was would I still receive my free day for myself even though I purchase the internet through The Key package.  I'm not much of a risk taker.  I play by the rules.  We both purchase our own internet package if that's what confused you about my question.  No one's looking to take advantage here...other than making good use of my internet coupon.

  10. Hi Friends!  Sorry, I gave up on the 59 page post about The Key.  Couldn't find my needle in the haystack.  LOL

Has anyone who purchased The Key so far been able to use their Diamond or above coupons for your free internet days?  Or did you forfeit that by purchasing your internet through The Key?

New concept for me (well, for all of us I guess) and I'm weighing purchasing The Key for our May 31st Adventure sailing.  Husband and I along with our four year old daughter who doesn't need They Key yet.  I have a feeling we will still be tendering to CocoCay but I also seem to remember getting a priority tendering ticket in the DL.  So not sure that benefit is worth it.  We also have a junior suite so we won't really be needing that priority boarding or exit on the final day.  I doubt my husband will want to sit down for a nice breakfast.  He's usually ready to jump ship the last sea day.  (I could sail for months!)  We don't do the flow rider or rock climbing wall.  We do purchase high speed internet for both us.  The Chops lunch sounds nice and I'd happily hand over my carry on luggage with the heavy wine....but is all that worth the extra above the internet?  Sounds like I just made my decision, huh?  But I'm still curious how anyone made out with The Key and the Diamond internet coupon.

    Shelly,

I tried to book a cabana for the same cruise and was told they're sold out.

I'm just seeing your message now.  I realize we're only 3 sleeps from boarding but here's how it all played out.

I sent an email on Oct 2nd requesting my specific cabana location for the November 24th sailing.  Never heard back.  Asked on here and was told to wait until a week out for the email so I tried to be patient.  Last Saturday was a week and no response to my previous email and no contact from the concierge.  On Sunday my hubby called the casino (who we book through) about something else and asked at the end about the cabana and was told they were sold out.  I got on the phone right away with Crown and Anchor and asked for a manager immediately.  I spoke to Marrissa who was fantastic and said I did everything I possibly could have and she was very sorry that the email wasn't acknowledged and that no one had been in touch.  She got to work and called me back the next day to say that the shore excursion manager would get me a cabana but it may not be the specific one I requested and I was fine with that.  That same day I received the standard email from the concierge.  I let him know the situation but it turns out he was already aware and responded back by saying he had secured me the cabana I requested the day before when he heard from Marrissa.  Turns out, he wasn't on the ship when my original email was sent.

To those who say you don't need a cabana.  That's very true.  This is a special trip for us this sailing.  We're staying in a Grand Suite and would like to take advantage of being able to book this amenity as one of our suite perks.  I have spent many sailings lounging on a regular beach and eating from the regular buffet.  I'm not against it and not above it in any way.  We do not book a cabana every sailing.  Sometimes it's just nice to do the upgrades. :)

Thanks for the advice!  Y'all rock!!  Happy cruising!

  12. Had a similar issue with our upcoming sailing on Adventure.  We have a suite and I had not heard from anyone and didn't receive a response to my email sent to the concierge address.  One phone call to Crown and Anchor (asked to speak to a manager right away) and it got the fire going.  Heard from the concierge within 24 hours and my request was taken care of.  They were very apologetic and willing to do whatever to help at C&A.  Give them a call.  Good luck and enjoy your trip!

We are currently on the Adventure of the Seas and my 8 year old nephew found a duck that said it was from Marietta, GA. He was excited, he looks for the friendship rocks near where he lives. If I remember I’ll get a picture to post.

Thanks for sharing that you found one on Adventure!!  My daughter is excited to hide what I bought but she would be super excited to find one from another family.  Four more sleeps!!  Enjoy your trip!

Don't wait for the formal email.  Send an email asking for a cabana and the type you'd like.  If you know the number include that as well.  If you wait until you get the formal email lots of times they are already all gone and you get put on a waiting list.  We love the Cabana's and Labadee.

This is what I was worried about.  I did email almost three week ago and I haven't received a response back.

  15. I have been searching for this info in hopes someone else has already asked but can't seem to find my answers.  First time Grande suite guests, sailing in 34 days on Adventure.  We normally do Junior Suites so I'm unfamiliar with all the suite perks and inner workings.  We want to book a cabana on Labadee.  I spoke to the concierge in the Diamond Lounge when we sailed Adventure in August and he said I would receive an email after final payment to book suite amenities.  He gave me his email to follow-up if I had questions.  Final payment was in August and we haven't received any emails other than to check-in online and we're getting close to 30 days.  I didn't even see the options for Barefoot Beach on the cruise planner where they just direct you to book on the ship anyway.  Been cruising long enough to know I can't wait to book this on the ship.  I don't want to miss out since this is probably the only suite "perk" we will most likely take advantage of.

My question for former suite guests is - when did you receive notification that you could book a cabana or any other suite amenity?  I sent an email three weeks ago to the Diamond Concierge at the email he gave me and haven't heard anything.  We book all sailings through the casino.  Thanks, fellow cruise friends!

  16. Quantum class and Harmony...other ships in the fleet seem to be heading in this direction too. Sorry...not a fan of this new change but then again not a fan of many new "improvements".

You use your SetSail Pass until you have access to your cabin..envelope will be on your cabin door holding one SeaPass the other will be on the bed in your cabin with other info.

Thanks so much! That's a new procedure for me with this ship. Not sure how I feel about it either but we'll roll with it and see.

  17. You won't get your Seapass card at check in - it will be in your cabin.

Sorry, I just realized AOS wasn't very specific when talking about Cape Liberty now that Anthem and Adventure both go out of this port for a few months. We will be sailing on Adventure this trip. :) Although I'm a seasoned cruiser I have yet to go on a mega ship. Not gonna lie, I'm intimidated. ;)

  18. You won't get your Seapass card at check in - it will be in your cabin.

Is this a procedure specific to Adventure? I've never received the seapass card in the cabin before. Always at the pier. It's not needed to get on the ship initially? How do you make a purchase on the ship if you don't have it yet? I don't really expect to be buying anything right away but just curious now...

  19. My 4 year old and I will be cruising on AOS August 3rd. Husband is out of town for work that week. I only have two hands so I'm thinking ahead....

I'm Diamond so it's not my first time at the rodeo for boarding but I haven't sailed out of Cape Liberty for years. I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of what to expect when I get to the port (driving ourselves there from PA) and any tips that would make life easier as far as luggage and parking at the beginning and end of the trip.

In Baltimore they take the luggage right from our trunk, I park and I know we can walk into the terminal with all we need for a few hours. How is luggage handled at CL? What about when we get off the ship? Will I have an issue getting my daughter and the luggage to the car or will there be porters there to help for some cash? I'm debating on leaving the stroller at home because it's one more "thing" I only have two hands for.

Anything else I should know about this port? Cash only for parking? Best times to arrive? Etc...

  20. Book Jr Suite solo. 3x cruise points.

Or even cheap inside solo, 2x cruise points.

This is why the airlines have mostly switched from miles to miles plus $.

A GS is a lot more than 2x an inside, even a lot more than an inside solo.

Am I missing something that you're one person staying in a Junior suite and earning 3x points? And you're getting double points on a solo inside?

So say myself, my husband and our daughter are on a 9 day in a junior suite. When I leave the ship they credit my account for 18 points. 9x2=18 Where does the 3x come in? Because if that's the case, RC owes me a lot of points for many suite purchases that I only got double points on....

I guess I'm sort of being sarcastic. I don't really believe Royal owes me anything because as far as I know I should only be getting double points on all my suites. Just making sure I'm not missing out here...;)
