  1. We are trying to decide between a beach club (Playa Mia or Paradise Beach) and a resort for a day pass at Iberostar Cozumel. I'm looking for really good food, as well as fun activities for two 9 year olds and an 11 year old. Even though Playa Mia seems to have the best facilities for the kiddos, I'm not sold, as I've heard the food is not great. How is Iberostar Cozumel? Is there a reason I should pick a beach club over the resort? And finally, we would love to do a snorkeling excursion once at the beach. Do any of the beach clubs or resorts offer this? I've heard great things about the snorkeling trip from Playa Palancar, but not sure the kids would find enough to do there for the rest of the day.

  2. How is the snorkeling excursion from Nachi Cocum?  We're looking for a gorgeous beach, good food, not a huge party atmosphere, and really good snorkeling. We considered Chankanaab, but the beach doesn't look great. Nachi Cocum looks perfect beach wise, but I really want a great reef as well. Kids are 9 and 11, very strong swimmers and snorkelers and would love to see turtles, rays and other colourful fish (not just the striped fish that everyone seems to feed bread or bananas, which has been much of their previous snorkeling experience). Or is there another tour that anyone can recommend which combines some great snorkeling (boat tour OK) followed by a beach club with great drinks and food?

  3. We've never sailed on MSC before, but were interested for March 2021 with 2 adults, 3 kids.  We were looking at either Meraviglia or Seaside, however, can't seem to find any interconnecting rooms or family rooms. The interconnecting rooms are not available and the family rooms show sold out.  I tried other dates including the furthest out I could go, which is mid-April 2021, and all appear sold out. Do those rooms sell out right away, or are they just not available for booking on the website? We were just on Royal Caribbean a month ago, and I had no problem booking a family room for 5 people a year out, so was a bit surprised to see these booked up 2+ years out. Any suggestions?

  4. We will be in St. Martin next month and I’m so looking forward to this port. We are in port from 8 to 5. We would love to spend some time at Pinel Island in the morning, have lunch there and then do a tour of the island with a short stop at Marigot market, and another one at Maho beach before heading back to the ship. Does such a tour exist? If not, is this doable on our own in taxis? Thanks in advance!

  5. Hi there, first time poster and first time cruiser here. We will be in St Martin in March and I'm having a very hard time deciding which tour to do.  We're interested in either Bernard's (the tour with a 2 hour beach stop) or the Robinson speed boat tour.  We are a family of 5, kids are 5, 5 and 7.  Any suggestions on which would be a better way to see the island for a first time visitor? Thanks very much!
