We've got kids with us who are too cool for Facebook 🙄

We'll try out Snapchat, Instragram and WhattsApp and report back on how they worked.  My wife and I will go old school and try out Facebook Messenger as well.

Are the Vibe passes on Joy sold at Guest relations or somewhere else?

Does anyone know if the "Unlimited Social Media WiFi" Plan works for iMessage ? 

I'm wondering if the "popular messenger platforms" mentioned in the description includes iMessage.

The Unlimited Social Media Wifi package gives you access to majority of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, WeChat, etc.). The package allows you to view, post and upload videos on social media and also chat on all popular messenger platforms.

The internet packages look wicked expensive and it sounds like performance is sub-par.

Our main use-case is to text with family.  Will the bottom tier "Unlimited Social Media Wi-Fi" work for iMessage or even WiFi calling?

We used the NCL app to text on the last cruise and it didn't give an audible or visual prompt when a new message came in like iMessage or an SMS/Text would. So you'd have to check the app periodically to see if anyone was trying to get a hold of you.

It would be much cheaper to just get the bottom tier option for everyone if that's all we need.

The picture you posted is literally what I'm trying to avoid on that day...

I'm assuming the cabana price is for two, not $439 per person.

We're cruising on the Joy second week of June to Alaska. 

We've done the Vibe on previous cruises in more tropical climates and had a great time.

Is the Vibe worth it for Alaska? 

It's nice to have a place to get away from the crowds, but I'm not sure if we'll use it much given the weather.  Although it would be nice to have an un-crowded spot up top to hang out on Glacier day and Sea Days.

Any word on price?  And do they have cabanas available?
