  1. I believe in being prepared before traveling. Before we went on our cruise last summer, I ordered 300 Euros from the bank so that I wouldn't have to worry right away when we arrived in Europe.  We knew going into our cruise that our last excursion would require payment in cash in Euros (about 500 euros).  Based on the advice I read, I figured that we would just stop at ATMS while in ports to get the euros we would need.

Though we didn't get currency at the airport (our flight was delayed and our ride was waiting), we started looking for ATMs a few days into our 14 day cruise.  Most of the ATMs were out of order, out of money (we had this experience in several countries), or in sketchy areas.  So we ended up visiting the ATM in the casino and then taking it down to guest services.  It was a TERRIBLE exchange rate.  I wished I had just gotten more money from the bank ahead of time to avoid the stress of the whole situation.

Each person has the their own situation and personality.  My type A personality likes to be prepared!

  2. I'm surprised that you were able to put the minor children together in one room.  I was forced to put my husband with one child (at least for the paper work portion) and myself with the other.  My 18 year old daughter wasn't even allowed to be in a room with my 14 year old son (I believe it is 21).

My husband and I each had to add the child "connected" with us as authorized users of the account.

If you go to the web version of the app (under summary when you are logged in on a computer), it will allow you to choose your own profile or your child.  You can then complete the passage contract.

  3. My daughter is vegan.  We did a 14 night on Enchanted in June.  She appreciated that there were multiple options for dinner.

She did fill in the dietary preferences that she was vegan long before boarding.  But, you just need to ask in the MDR and they will bring the vegan menu. The servers who recognized us would automatically bring her the vegan menu but otherwise she just asked.

There was no breakfast vegan menu in the MDR.  There may have been a lunch menu.  We only ate lunch in the MDR once, so I don't remember....

  4. I love eating breakfast on my balcony and was very disappointed by the room service offered by Princess.  The door hanger options were very basic (and almost no protein options).

I didn't realize you could potentially "write in" other options.  I will try this in December!  Even if it doesn't happen all the time, it will may save me a trip to the buffet for breakfast (and bringing it back to my room to eat on the balcony).

    Thanks for the information!
