Where in the cruise (like 8th or 9th day) was that Q & A? We’re on the ship now, and would love to know how she’d deflect that question.
Sorry about your bad cabin noise. We’re just up the hall in SS 9173, and have totally lucked out. Perhaps a maintenance person could have dealt with that fridge issue. Now we’re more nervous about booking the same cabin on the Ascent next year. But has anyone seen if there’s also a thread about noise issues on it also? I imagine it would have the exact same shipyard building faults.
it was on I believe the 10th or 11th day of our 11 night cruise (Sea Day). Capt. Kate didn't deflect the question, all questions are written down and put in a box. The cruise directory then picked out questions for the Captain

Just off Beyond on 12th in SS 9161 and its creaked and popped and banged most nights. Some was when the mini frig turned off and the metal expansion but this room was terrible for noise. I did pose the question to Capt. Kate in the Q&A session but my question was not selected by the Cruise Director

yes, plain bottle water but not Evian (premium) water

Oh and loved Captain Kate, especially her personally saying goodbye to everyone when leaving the ship on the gangway

Wife and I just got off Beyond on the 12th. Loved everything about the ship, entertainment and food. Especially loved Rooftop Grill and Luminae. Only negative was our room creaked and popped and the final day of everyone asking for a 10 in the survey. Not a nine but please 10.

Going on our first Celebrity cruise this September, so with a Sky Suite, we still tip? I thought gratuities were paid in the price? Or is that just drinks? Don't mind, just so I know. I would have tipped additional anyway,
If you did it would show up in you payment summary as Prepaid Gratuities

are you trying to get your post count up?

Deck 17 is very quiet (and expensive)

What the staff really want is for you to gush about their excellent service on the post-cruise evaluations. They love the cash tips, but they seem to covet those reviews more.
I agree, even when giving them a tip on the last evening the waiter aske to please take the survey and give a good review if we felt it.

March is not that far away... there are some 1 year out that are popular that sell out quickly

It's defiantly making me re-evaluate the extra gratuities (tip tip hooray) we give at the end. My wife and I are very easy and do not ask for much and always leave the auto grats on. But now we are at least discussing what constitutes (for us) an additional tip on top?

Maybe but we just got off Allure on October 22nd and bought the 24 bottles and it was not Evian... maybe they changed ?
-
Oh and I love the new tops on the bottled water. It's a flit top lid which I've never seen before. No screw top
-
Water purchased pre-cruise is standard bottled (plastic) water. Not sure of the brand but it is not Evian. We did have a one glass liter bottle of Evian in our room but we were in a suite .

It has always come up on the interactive TV under "account" for us.

The problem is when we have breakfast lunch and dinner in CK along with some wine or beer in the afternoon there is a lot of coastal kitchen $0.00 per day ... cannot tell what they are for specifically

Indeed...and is very nice if you have vouchers, deciding to make happy hour...any hour. 😉
Though what I was pointing out (referencing to myself), were the vouchers they put through on our account....during that dedicated happy hour time in the SL, though should not be that way being full suite guests.
But...eh..free is free.
to tell the truth, I didn't know or know how to check (unless they tell you) if we got deducted from our D vouchers or not during happy hour in the SL

So are you saying I will have to make sure when I'm ordering drinks in the lounge that they are not using my diamond + benefit since I am in an owners suite?
If you are on a Oasis class ship and ordering cocktails outside 5-8 it will be deducted from your D+ count.

Wow. I totally disagree. I have enjoyed the CK for my entire 15N cruise, but I also feel that Pinnacles have every right to be there. We have eaten there several nights on the Anthem and there are always plenty of empty tables and we have 109 Pinns onboard. Pinnacles have been cruising for several years and spent a lot of money with Royal, they all deserve a plate at the table.
That's one way to look at it

None that I'm aware of. I have "heard" that if over a certain number on a cruise access to CK is either limited or not allowed and other arrangements are made. We just got back from Allure and P's (40) were allowed in CK for all meals

I didn't see any "awful behavior" but they were numerous and loud
-
We'll they were noticeable... not much clothing and not thin... glad we had Deck 17 to hang out on.

Were they all wearing yellow tee shirts at some point? I did notice security more out after Roatan

Hi, total cruise newbie here and also going with family on our very first cruise in couple weeks on the Allure in CLS #1728!
Couple questions I had in addition to what OP asked (very helpful) is what till what time does the Coastal Kitchen stay open for dinner (cant find clear information on sample cruise compass's found for this ship)?
Secondly does the coastal kitchen open for lunch on embarkation day and also on the day we are at the perfect day island (in case we want something more substantial than what seems to be basic burgers/hot dogs served on island unless we pay for the expensive beach club!)?
Dinner is 5-9 and yes its open for lunch on embarkation day till 1:30

Giving honest answer on survey, but don’t want to negatively affect staff wages??

Completely agree, the hounding for a 10 is BS and if we did have any issue that I thought needed correcting, I would politely bring it to their attention on the ship. I've quit filling out the survey for cruises and any other service I paid for.
