You are responsible to apply / pay for the travel authorization to Bermuda IF that is still in play in October!!  So you will have to test within the time frame as requested by Bermuda that will not be Royal’s responsibility but never hurt to ask them while onboard but I would bring EMED as a backup in case you still need this travel authorization.  At $40.00 per person per trip… I wonder how long they will keep this up… hmmmm

Talked to a person in Bermuda today and asked how long will they be inforcing the authorisation and she said at least through December.

at 40 dollars a person, that is lots of cash going to Bermuda. She said 5000 people just this coming week(may 12 sailing)

You'll get a reminder from Bermuda a few days before your sailing that you have to submit  your test results. It will give you a link to your application record so you can will upload the test report in a similar fashion to the way you uploaded your proof of vaccination when you originally submitted your application.

Don't fret. Bermuda had the same process in place last year and people were able to do it.

how does one get their 40$$ back if they fail their covid test and cannot cruise??Should we wait until we know we are negative and send our money and application in than??(2 days before cruise)

    Thanks Cindy

We are planning on traveling to NJ on Saturday 10/17/21 the day before our cruise.  We usually

do a package that includes 1 night at the hotel, parking for the length of the cruise and, a shuttle

to the port and back and breakfast.  Since cruises are just starting up we are having trouble

finding hotels that offer this package.  Can anyone points us in the right direction?

    Thanks...

Try Trinity Reservations.com.I have used them in the past. They include room, parking and transportation to pier. Some include breakfast.

I posted a couple of days ago that our cabin was taken from us due to spacing and would be reassigned at some point. Very stressful as I really liked the cabin I choose awhile back. Today much to my surprise and happiness we were upgraded to a junior suite, still mid ship. All ended well. Now too get pass the testing. I am still waiting on the kit ordered from royals site from the 8th. Hope that turns out well also. Super excited for the change.

You were lucky.I had my handicap cabin taken away.I was given a non handicap.and was unable to get my handicap back or a new handicap assigned!!Going on Oasis Sept.26 Hope i can get in my room with my scooter!!!

Changing someone from one cabin to another is one thing, but changing someone who needs a handicap room to a regular room is all kinds of wrong. They should upgrade you to a bigger cabin so you can get in. You should try contacting C & A and if they can’t help I would even write to Baylee’s office. Sorry I don’t have their info, but I know others do. Hopefully someone will post it.

I spoke to CA,Access Dept and the casino.plus regular reservation dept.Everyone said the same thing NO HANDICAP ROOMS! I spent hours on the phone, even with resolutions dept.Noone could tell me why they would take a handicap cabin away and give me a standard cabin.I will try to make the best of it!!!!Wont know for sure until I get on the ship!!!I really need a cruise!!LOL

So how about you issue me OBC for the difference between sailaway and choosing my cabin...  I choose higher end balconies always, and close to elevators because of a family member's mobility issues. I also choose my cabin carefully to have the bed by the balcony so I can park a scooter in front of the couch. I choose a side of the ship for the views coming in and out of port. And I choose a balcony with an view.  I would be most unhappy with a random pick that ruined more than one of my criteria.

Hi I just had my handicap cabin taken away, and was given a balcony,Will I be able to get through the door with my scooter?I am on hold for over 2hours trying to find out why I had my handicap cabin changed to a non handicap!!!!Thanks cindy

This really stinks!  I was told

when I booked back to back to back to back to back we would

be covid tested onboard before the end of

each cruise and enjoy our day onboard. I completely understand that protocols are evolving but this makes no

sense at all.  I do use the laundry service on

the ship but I pack a lot for 5 weeks. I am thinking this

might be a sign that it’s time to cancel. As much as I was looking forward to these cruises I just can’t do it!  I am not packing up in sitting in the terminal 5 times!

Just received a new e=mail.letting me know the first one was sent in era!!!!We do not have to lug our luggage off of the ship.Hopefully all that got the other will receive the new one shortly!!Thank god i dont have to lug my luggage around with my electric scooter!!!See you (hopefully) on board on the 26th,3rd,and 10th!!!!!

Looking forward to your review.  We’re on Oasis in a suite on 9/26 and love reading different experiences.

I’m surprised you had so much trouble finding a rapid antigen test in New York.  I have at least 3 locations within 30 minutes of my house in NH and my mom has at least 3 within 20 minutes of her house in CT.

Hi Where do you live in NH?I am in Acworth and been looking for a place to do antigen test. Most are only doing PCR!!!

Yes there is the Roll in Shower ;however ,as you already stated these are not photos from a Spirit class ship . According to Carnival information & we double checked it out , there are no roll in shower accessible  cabins on the Spirit Class ship . Additionally ,we  were not able to find any cabin that would have both a wider entry door ( wider doors are   made available for handicap cabins  on cruise vessels ) & or space to roll in a electric scooter . Yes ,there are larger cabins ,similar to suites but in a much higher category & still no roll in shower  We have scoured both the deck plans every deck & Carnival printed information .

If there us such a larger accessible cabin on the spirit class vessel ,we sincerely would appreciate the cabin number for size & roll in shower  available

    Try cabin 8239

Has anyone been out of Boston this year that can comment on the parking?  My dad has trouble walking.  He was expecting to park in the lot next to the terminal and just walk over.  This sounds like a nightmare.  I may tell him to call NCL about it since he's technically disabled.  There's a mention about a shuttle bus from the parking lot back to the terminal, but ugh.  Why did they have to go and change a good thing?

Hi I was just on the Gem in April and was able to park at the front of the Ship in the open parking lot. This is the same one I parked at in the past.  The cost had gone up to 25 dollars a day. One time when I got there after 11 it was full and I was directed to the Garage across the street.

    Yes you do.

    1 point per night.

Also, 1 extra point if it is a Latitudes Insider sailing.

1 extra point for sailing in a full suite.

Previously it was 1 extra point if booked 6 months before sailing. Now they have done away with that. If there is a single supplement promo(?) you will get that too.

Arzeena,I am pretty sure you DO NOT get 1 extra point for Latitudes Insider sailing if you book a sailaway.I never did when I booked a sailaway during an Insider sailing.

If you book a Sailaway cabin do you still receive your Latitude Points?

Yes for your initial booking( 7 points for 7 nights.),but not the extra points  (14 points for 7 nights)if they are part of your bonus points for booking under a latitudes special.

  13. Grats are now 15 dollars per day per person. What you are seeing are the  daily service charge(DSC) they are charging on your free perks.I think it is 20 percent of what the daily charge would be on your drink package,if you were to purchase it. and also on your meal package. This is a separate charge from your Grat(TIPS).Hope this helps
