  1. Just an update on the wine purchase in Honolulu...

ABC store directly across the the street from the hotel in Waikiki!  My DH strolled over there and picked up two bottles of barefoot for approximately 6 to 7 dollars a bottle.  One bottle was corked.  I didn't open that until we were off the ship.

Thanks again for the great info everyone.  We had a fantastic cruise on the Legend.  A couple of first day wrinkles to iron out but after that ... SWEEEEEEET!

  2. Hi Ya!

We will be on Vista. April 7th through April 15. My flight is coming into FLL at 7:40 a.m.

I have purchased transfer from airport to pier through Carnival.

Question: Does anyone know how long I might sit on the bus at that hour waiting for enough people to make the trip?

I am considering booking a shuttle for 10 a.m. instead having breakfast at the airport to kill some time. I can do the earliest check-in as we are priority platinum.

Any help from someone who is familiar with a situation like this is appreciated.

  3. Hi! Loved your review.

Thinking of sailing on the Legend again. Is she in good condition overall??

Legend is in great condition! Staff was very attentive. Saw lots of cleaning on Lido, ash trays were emptied like never before. My cabin was in good shape although it didn't have the sheer curtain at the balcony window. For some reason I really like that thing.

Different chef made all the difference in the world. Food was much, much better than previously even on the buffet.

    Thanks! ;)

  4. Thanks for sticking with us on this and answering all of our questions. I have often wondered WHY Carnival doesn't do much for the platinum cruisers. It seems to me if you have that much loyalty to their brand they could come up with a few additional perks to make their customers feel appreciated.

Good job on this thread and great pics. You're wife looks like a lucky lady!:)

  5. I would also like to thank you for your comparison. I have often wondered about the perks. Since I probably will never book a suite though I wonder if there are any reasons a balcony room on Hal might be nicer than on Carnival?

Since I don't drink I think I might enjoy a more laid-back cruise line. What would you say the median age of the passengers was on your cruise?
