  1. I have done nine Carnival cruises...taking my 10th in January. I've cruised on several different Carnival vessels and yes we've had some rough weather along the way. It happens. When you cruise you have to know ahead of time that you'll need a certain amount of flexibility. Ports get missed. Engines break down. We pray it won't happen but sometimes it will. I have been extremely pleased with all nine of my CCL cruises to this point. Try it again. I bet you will have a totally different experience.

  2. Am I correct in my understanding that the fees at Uvas also cover entrance to Chankanaab? So when you are at Uvas, you are already inside Chankanaab park? I was just wondering if it is possible to explore the park in addition to visiting Uvas. It looks so beautiful online. For those of you who have explored Chankanaab, do you have any pics you post of it? I would love to hear what you thought about it.

  3. I made reservations for my DH and I to spend the day at Playa Uvas and to do the snorkeling there. My confirmation page stated that they have lockers to hold our stuff. I was just wondering if they have locks on them or if you're supposed to bring your own lock and also if a backpack will fit it the locker. We are going to need a place for our important ship stuff (passports, ship ID, etc.) while we're in the water, which will be most of the day. Thanks!

  4. what happens if you DO get caught? I want to bring some sand home and a few small shells too, but it sure isn't worth going to jail or a huge fine! I guess it really all depends on who the person is that busts you for it and whether they are in the mood to be a real jerk or not. Anybody know the punishment for bringing home sand? Suddenly I'm thinking of so many other crimes that should be punished and bring home a baggie of sand just doesn't seem to horrible.:o
