two weeks to go....alot of people on this  cruise missed a chance to  have some precruise  fun...

are you going on the American Empress on 11/20 cruise?

we are on a short cruise not the full one.  We plan on having a great time...will do review....we are going to do the Portland tour which we booked separately before we  go on this river cruise

it looks like they changed the format of the roll calls making it more difficult to respond,,,i guess it does not make any difference since no one was responding any way

They have reasently changed the format to respond to 

only about 6 weeks to go:) ...we are hoping for a warm dry fall in Portland area:):):)

HI Buck1949, I had forgotten that I had posted on this thread...yes the responses to my 11/20 thread on The Empress has been a bit disappointing. On a number of our ocean cruises we had a very lively group for several months .sometimes we had a precruise party as many as 6-8 couples joined us...we got to know some of these folks pretty well before actually meeting them, about 6 weeks to go....we will hope for the best

enjoyed reading all of your comments....we are on the 11/20 Empress cruise but not much action there yet

another month with no response...guess we are only ones going ***** this river cruise,,,we plan to have a blast:D

we will be flying into Portland the day before our cruise. Since we can not get on the boat before 3 we will have a half day to spend looking around Portland. Any suggestions on we should see ? It will be our 1st time in Portland. Earlier we had thought about going up to St. Hellen's to see the Volcano but we learned that all of the attractions are shut down in November. . Even the vistitor's center will be closed the day we would be able to go.

we are considering Lewis & Clark tour....anyone who done, it..,,How was it?

This will be our first river cruise for my wife and I.We have been on a number of ocean cruises. We found it fun to chat with people prior to the cruise and then meet them on the boat/ So here goes. We are from Missouri and plan to fly out to Portland on the day before and maybe rent a car and drive up to Mt St. Helen and see the volanco:):):)
