Just to be clear the Daily Service Charge is the automatic "tipping" that is added in. It's not in addition too.

We are leaving next week for our much anticipated cruise. There are 4 families in our group with 3 having the Aurea deluxe package and 1 couple with the Fantastica package. For the 3 that have the Aurea we have $150 onboard ship credit. The Fantastica package has a $50 credit. One of the individuals in our group saw the following:

I just read it, 12.95 per adult per day and 6.95for child, so for me 33 bucks a day for housekeeping charges. Andyou get charged a 15% tax for all drinks you order.

We were planning on using the on board credit to cover our tips, but none of us were aware of an extra charge for housekeeping. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed an added charge? Is this considered the service charge?

I believe the 15% tax is only on drinks that are purchased out of pocket. Since we have the Aurea deluxe drink package I don't believe that if affects us, but not sure. The couple that has the Fantastica package has the drink coupons. Will they have to pay the service charge when using their drink coupons?

We would appreciate any feedback. We do plan on tipping above and beyond for great service. We usually would leave a few dollars a day for the housekeeping staff when staying at an all inclusive resort. We had planned on doing that as well, but if we are paying $26 - $33 a day that may change.

I am trying to confirm that we have anytime boarding with the Aurea package? We are driving in from FLL that morning and will be at the port around 10:30am. Our e-tickets state that our boarding time is 2pm. That's a long time to wait around. The excitement is building as we only have 17 days left!!

mister67, I do appreciate your response, but it looks like you may have forgotten to include when happy hour ends.

Can you tell me what time is happy hours in the casino? We have the AI package for drinks, but my son and daughter in law have the drink tickets. Since we all love to do a little gambling this will be nice for us to enjoy some blackjack, while the kids can save some money during happy hour.

I looked at all 40 pages on the "Cabin Pictures Only" post. I did not find any pictures of cabin 14048 on the Seaside. If anyone has a picture of the cabin, balcony and the bathroom that would be great.

Does anyone have any pictures of this cabin? Would really like to see what the cabin looks like before our cruise on 1013!

I did see that there was a link to the drink list for those that choose the YC level. Is there a drink list for the Aurea level? It would be greatly appreciated if I could see what brands fall under the whiskey, rum and beer. Thanks so much.

I loved your post. So much good information. Looks like you had a great time. We cruise in October and your post has intensified our excitement. I do have a few questions. Could you share the route that you took for the walking tour in San Juan.

I did see the pictures for the white party and it seemed there were quite a few people enjoying themselves. Do you know what time the party started?

Did you get a chance to see or go to the Gatsby party? Wondering if there were a lot of individuals that "dressed" for the theme. My daughter in law really wants to dress up for this.

For whatever reason I can't see the scope of the Aurea sundeck. Do you happen to have pictures that you can share. Would really like to see what that looks like. Could you also tell me where we would find the sundeck?
