Everything I've read so far in various CC threads is that once onboard, Princess will either handle it or tell you want needs to be done. So unless we hear otherwise, that's how we're going to proceed. Remember, the only reason we personally went through the Visit Japan Web registration process a few weeks ago was to hopefully get into the Customs "fast pass" line once we arrived at the airport.

Hi Ken, do you know if Princess will deal with immigration at Korea or we need to get our own Q-Code.

We visited Gothenburg with Marella Discovery in Aug and yes Tui supply a shuttle bus at £8 per person and you need it, the city is about 12 or so km away. At the port there is a Volvo museum and if you like that sort of thing our friends visited and recommend it.

Thank you for the information that was very helpful, I see the Haga area is a place to go old streets, shops and cafes that is most probably the place you mentioned.:D

I will be visiting Gothenburg in a few weeks time and docking at Arendal, does anyone have information on transport to city. I have looked on line but there is very little detail apart from a shuttle from dock gate, does this still run or is there a public bus service?

If you fanny the train journey from Flam, the station is a few minutes walk from the dock. As long as one of you are 67y both of you get a discount on tickets, check out times on website. You can buy your tickets early and then wonder around the shops. Flam is a small compact Village.:)

We are first timers with Marella and sailing to the Baltic’s on Discovery 14 night cruise in a couple of weeks time. I assume there are 2 dress to impress nights ?:)

The DFDS ferry leaves from the same terminal as cruise ships and they run a shuttle bus to a stop opposite the main rail station in Newcastle, I used the bus one morning arriving back to Newcastle and the fare is about £3. If you google DFDS shuttle bus you will get all the information.:)

Alla Tours St Petersburg,
We to are on Marella Discovery 3/4 Aug in St Petersburg and have booked 2 day Grand Tour, it looked a great itinerary just what we wanted. The booking was very easy and the team most helpful and very prompt in answering any questions. A friend of our used Alla a few years ago and recommended them so I also have the reassurance of a tour company with a good track record, much needed theses days with www. We cannot wait to get to St Petersburg for our tour, it will be the highlight of the cruise.

Marella Discovery Al Drinks.
I notice the absence of Vodka on the menu is this correct? If so that’s a big injustice I cannot be the only person that only drinks Vodka !

Hi, Have just joined CC so a bit late on this thread. We booked early in year on Tui Discovery with Iglu Cruises only to discover that our cabin price had dropped by about £500. We contacted Iglu and although we lost our deposit they gave us the new price for our cabin and an extra discount on top which worked out cheaper then Tui, so win win situation. The negotiations we had with Iglu where so good we upgraded to a Mini Suite for just a few £ more. We have used Iglu a few times now and always found them very good.:)
