Just a heads up sailed from terminal 6 and got the COVID test there

$105.00 on credit card  charge shows up on line at my credit card

and a Medical ? charge for  $290.30  total  $395.30  nice rip off

    Sorry delete the above ERROR

  2. OK just a little tid bit I sailed on Royal Jan. Feb. & Mar. of this year in fact the March one last one before shut down. The March sign and sail card was a new design  card was a deep blue and to lower left side there is a box called assembly station, this is like in school you went to a assembly what happened to muster or boat drill. Your on a ship isn't it , marinetine or nautical  language what else is going to be called some else we have decks called floors, cabins called rooms etc etc

  3. I have some casino rate offers, so I called and gave agent couple sail dates in Nov. two(2) were not open a thied date looked good, he booked me, I got cabin number, booking number I paid, then said Oh I have to check something, sure he comes back, sorry can't give  me the cruise the Brilliance and Rhapsody out of Tampa are on some kind of   crowd control  which will be from Nov. till Feb.20 2020  The next day I get via snail mail a offer for 10 ships/4 ports  Tampa and Brilliance listed called the number same story. Sure if I book a rack price over 1K for a inside single I could sail. I'm diamond plus like who cares. So Carnival booked me for a cruise in Sept. And  one in Nov. both casino rates plus the Nov. cruise with $500 play credit

  4. Just a heads up for anyone who used, Terminal 6, I just returned from 10/29/18 sailing of the Brilliance of the Sea  the Port Auth.replaced the  ramp/gangway with a new one which was a surprise and have to give them a 10 great job.

The old one was a hazardous condition.

  5. Long time player, just rec'd a casino offer"new dealers choice" seems the bean counters are at it again. Sail as a solo anyway checked with my PVP NO just pay

port charge and tax. Over 30 casino cruises never paid over $200.00 this "deal" they wanted over $1,000.00 it's a code PTF1. Royal is looking better each day

  6. Sailed on a Carnival 12//18/17 which was a "free" cruise,as of many, code was 01V. Got a new one same code It DOESN'T say free cruise any more, was told they changed things mid Nov. anyway called to book a inside single now the quote was $600.00. I find the only cruise that will sill be "FREE" one is a Premier and or a Ultra

  7. The bean counters at it again, been a player with Carnival for years, after each cruise get a comp for q cruise. Just off Paradise rec'd a promo with code 01V had used one like before Well anyway called to book another cruise (most cruises have cost between $130 to $140) So now they tell me it will cost around $600 for a inside single. Guess they don't want my cash any more.

  8. After boarding went to Windjammer for lunch, only one door was open, making a traffic jam of pax's asked the crew person why not open other door "Oh no we have to make sure everyone gets a shot of hand sanitizer". OK didn't think too much of this.

couple days later saw my cabin steward wiping down hand rails in walk ways, later came back to cabin and door handle was wet. A sanitation enhanced cleaning program was started, or maybe carried over from prior cruise.

Asked lots of crew is any one sick??? No one would give answer to that.

Last two days/nights in casino crew came around about 3 or 4 times a hour wiping slot machine key boards. NEVER DID SEE THEM WIPE CHIPS AT TABLES

So any one come down with anything? I got some kind of bug which showed up couple days after getting home. My doctor can't come up with a answer so now have to go for all kinds of tests, starting with a Cat scan.

I did find one crew who said about 5 pax's sick unkown what with

Royal doesn't have to report to CDC when a outbreak is a small amount.

  9. I forgot to report on my review a woman playing a slot machine hit for $16,000

please don't ask what machine,or how she was playing. It was quarter machine, and don't if was playing max.

It was two rows over and didn't go to look at pay out on machine,Also it was of the older ones.

  10. Okay, 80000 Plats - let's assume 40000 couples and assume that they take two cruises a year, divide by 52 weeks and 24 ships - that's an average of 64 plats a cruise. This makes sense since at the Plat/Diamond party there were only about 30 people. So how come on that same cruise there were over 350 waiting for a tender to Belize, no room to sit or stand in the lounge, a mad rush of humanity to board the ship, and a line of four to six people at rush times at the guest services line.

Just a little tibit I forgot in other post those 80,000 plats most anyway not the new ones made Carnival has it is now. Then we had "uncle Bob" at the helm I think the bean counters are the problem. all those platinums and diamonds today BIG DEAL you on the ship early and off early and get a couple of strawberries. Carnival doesn't care the will be a new seat for anyone who goes.

Not to bring up another cruise line if your not in a level for perks you don't get them. And NO bringing in guests.

Maybe the bean counters may say Hey these parties are costing us more then before.

Side note do something with those E-cigarettes people using them suck on those pipe things and blow out a cloud of smoke the size of a pillow right in your face and say "I'm in a smoking area and do what ever I want"

  11. Not everyone goes to the platinum/diamond party. FTTF can explain some of the crowding issues. The fact that each platinum and diamond can each bring 5 more pax to the tender is another.
Last cruise guest service said about 100 pax's will be at platinum/diamond party sure when the doors opened only about 300 guests showed up. The whole program went down the drain since the VIFP thing started along with the FTTF. Don't go to parties anymore, and they can keep those strawberries.
  12. I've done 5 b2b's only one time didn't have to get off ship. When you get your notice of time and place to meet they also have a in transit card if you want check out the port. For the walk off and right back on they take a picture free along with a free drink. I always book so I stay in same cabin,no moving. I find the time they want you show up is never right as we have to wait till ship is cleared of current pax's. This is always subject to change. Doing B2B Nov 9th and Nov 14 th on Paradise out of Tampa

  13. I’m doing my 1st solo at the end of month. I’ve been going on cruises for years and all with my kids. I mentioned on a previous post that because my kids would find friends fast often times I was pretty much “alone” on the ship. If I was lucky they would have dinner with me.

So going into this 1st solo I’m pretty much prepared for what to expect.

I’m just looking forward to time at the pool and luck at the craps table and hopefully meet some nice people along the way.

Try couple hands at three card poker easy game.
  14. A couple years back think it was CCL Inspiration we couldn't get back into Tampa for two days, because of a Hurricane. They said they won't do any wash, towels etc water low, and save milk which was low just for children. Anyway they took us to East coast.Port Everglades and bused us back like 20+buses.On the way back driver stopped for a rest stop, you couldn't get into any places Lucky we had some people who lived in Tampa as drive didn't know how to find Port Of Tampa

  15. This season Royal will have two ships sailing from Tampa,Brilliance of the Sea and Vision of the Sea, anyone sailing on either one? On Nov. 22 there both sailing on the same day. Brilliance will be going out of terminal 3 no one at Royal seems to know where the Vision will sail from. Has any one heard anything ? Tx

  16. Recent non-solo trips have me looking forward even more to my first solo cruise in February. I did two short family trips recently and absolutely loved both of them, loved being together with family, especially some relatives I haven't seen for a while. HOWEVER, I also had the minor annoyances of waiting too long for others to get ready for dinner and dealing with others who suddenly changed plans. That gave me a better understanding of why I think I'll enjoy cruising alone. How relaxing that will be, for everything to be my choice, and my choice alone!

Yes you have that right I also gave up sitting at the table of ten MDR,some table mates were great and some from hell so now do any/your time 2 topper,

  17. Platinum for 7 years, like most each ship times vary. Just off the Paradise the debarkation has been smooth for years, for some reason it was changed. All pax's are stuffed on deck 9 and deck 10 which encompasses the buffet area,if your a little late for breakfast you won't find a table.

The letter for Platinum PRIORTY debarkation go to RAZ lounge deck 9 sure a surprise 100's of FTTF's. When going to gangway we always were taken to elevators,NO this time out back door,to drag bags down three decks. Asked crew person how come "To make it easy to get to gangway"???? "And so no one follows us"??????????????????

There should be some kind system to make notice to NON-US pax's

maybe when their signing on ship so they make sure to appear at Immigration in AM so they don't have to be called over and over holding out clearance of ship.

On 9/6/2014 last person was off ship at 10:35AM I was there doing a back2back

  18. I will be taking my first cruise in 20 days, and I would like to ask some questions to some of the experienced cruisers in this group. The cruise I'm going on is Royal caribbean Enchantment of the seas

I am looking for transportation from the cruise ship to the hotel where I will be staying for a few days after, can anyone recommend some good ones that are not too expensive?

Is it true that extension cords/surge protectors are not allowed on the ship?

Any other tips that you might feel would help

    Thank you in Advance

Did you ask about transportation on your ships roll call? Or you can go to North American Homeports and click on Fla. departues there's a big thread there about your question
