Is the casino DOU drinks package for drinks everywhere handled differently than Cheers when sailing out of Galveston?

Can you get drinks in the casino on day 1 under the DOU package?

Do you have the DOU in the Casino, or DOU Everywhere. I know that the Everywhere one starts once the casino opens. I would assume the only in Casino would work the same, but can't speak to personal experience with that one.

The man and his creation. Nyo Min 🇲🇲 with the agave old fashioned. He’s out of actual black cherries so he used black cherry juice on this one. They got a lot back there.

I'm a little jealous, right now. I have to find out if other alchemist know something similar. I bet it was good with the black cherry juice. I could drink that stuff with a bit of vodka and call it a day.

Something is definitely up. Flick tonight. Stools are back out. Showtime is in 15 and there’s no screen for the usual Flick preshow game, etc…. Again, this is the most stable sailing possible on glass like seas…

I'm curious if this was the standard on the last sailing. I was on 7/1 to 7/9, and the last show was abruptly cancelled. That night the majority of the playlist cast were down in ocean plaza singing and dancing. We thought maybe it was a technical issue.

Also, ask Myo at alchemy for a buffalo agave old fashioned one of these nights.

how does the parking redemption work, without a receipt, if it's paid upon exit?

So none of the ones I have done have been paid on exit.

In Galveston the official port parking garage was booked and prepaid. The receipt I provided them was the same one I showed to get into the garage.

In Port Canaveral, they had us on a list and just gave us money without a receipt. Although, I think it was paid on arrival at the parking garage.

For the drinks on us everywhere onboard for both of us does it start on embarkation on the Dream out of Galveston?  Does it include drinks from room service?

Just got off an Elite on the Dream out of Galveston. Drinks on Us! Anywhere starts when the casino opens in the early evening. You won't get the two bottles of alcohol until the second day. You will have the Elite gathering where drinks will be offered. Our party started pretty early (maybe 4:30 ish), and by the time the hour was up the casino was open. I don't know for sure about drinks from room service, but I would assume they would NOT be included.

Shore excursions offered on mine were:

Option 1: Shipwrecked Castaways: Adult Only Beach - Freeport

Option 2: Dolphin Encounter, Waterpark, Beach & Lunch for all - Nassau

Option 3: Choose your own and get up to $150 per person credit.

I did have to provide a receipt for the parking redemption.

Looking down from our cabin to the Lanai on deck 5 (Guy's Pig & Anchor on the right). When we tried to walk all the way around the Lanai on the first day, the forward section was roped off and marked "Crew Only". Not sure why.

It was the same on the Breeze a few weeks ago. My understanding was the front of the Lanai is being used to give the crew some outdoor space since their ability to get off the ship is restricted/limited and likewise their not allowed to use the guest areas due right now. I saw on another trip report (I think it was the Pride) that Serenity was crew only at night, presumably for the same reason.

I have been thinking about this situation a lot lately.  I'm ready to book a cruise, looking at December of this year.  We need two identical rooms, both full with 4 people.  I have a great rate with OBC, all others have what I would call "normal" rates.  I figured that if the cruise lines were struggling as hard as a lot of people think, they might start taking offers to fill the ships.  I would have booked in a heartbeat if both rooms could be booked under my VIFP offer.  Thought I could call and pitch it to my PVP and see what happens.

I would definitely suggest calling your PVP. I know it is not always applicable to every rate, but sometimes they are able to extend the offer to the second room. I had to re-book my cancelled march cruises and I had four rooms and only two of them had really good rates. The guy was able to extend the offer to the other two rooms as well, so I got the good deal on all the rooms.

As I understand it, RCI filed the motion to dismiss which was denied.  But, they were allowed to file an amended motion, which I guess they did(?).  Winkleman has responded to that motion, and that's the link above.

So the next step is RCI replying to Winkleman's response to the amended motion?  And that's due on 3/4.

Exactly. The original motion to dismiss was denied on technical grounds and not on the merits of the parties' arguments. The Judge allowed RCI to file an amended motion correcting the technical issues. RCI filed their amended motion, Winkleman responded to that motion, and now RCI has the option to reply to that response by 3/4/2020.

    And this means?

Someone has to reply by 3/4, but who?

I believe the next response would be from Royal Caribbean's lawyers.  This is a back-and-forth between them, arguing about why the case should or shouldn't be dismissed.  There's a PDF attached to that entry but the page that's hosting that stuff wants money for it.  That PDF likely details Winklemann's stance on continuing with the case.

Hallux is correct, the Reply will be Royal Caribbean's lawyers. Generally, the way it works is:

Motion (in this case the Defendant)

              Response to Motion (from Plaintiff)

Reply to Response to Motion (from the Defendant). This gives the original motion filer a chance to address any arguments/issues brought up in the Response.

It is possible, with leave from the Court, for (the Plaintiffs) to file a sur-reply as well, but it is up to the Judge on whether they think it is appropriate to allow it, unlike the Response and Reply which can be filed without permission.

Most of the crew who work the eating places on Lido get moved to the MDR for dinner, so they don't keep the Lido places open as long. I wish they'd staff the ships so they could leave at least one of them open longer. Maybe rotate between Guy's & BBQ, or something like that.

That was my belief/understanding as well, that the crew is needed elsewhere so therefore the venues close earlier. Guy's did stay open the latest, but if you wanted a burger for dinner it was an early dinner for most. (I think it closed around 5 most days, but I can't recall for sure.) I think this contributes the the buffet issue since the options for dinner are then primarily MDR and buffet. While the lines at the buffet didn't really bother me, I felt like it could have been organized to make it more efficient, such as a using one of the separate areas/counters for the salad bar.

I like how the decks are designed directly behind the Lido pool. The terraced levels keep it from feeling like you're stuck down in a hole. And I think it makes for great viewing space for dive-in movies or watching activities & parties happening around the pool.

I really liked the terraced decks as well. I watched several events/activities standing at the rail on deck 10 overlooking the pool.

  11. I was on the Glory a few weeks ago at the beginning of April. I though the ship was in great shape, and nothing stood out as dingy or broken. I am a person who makes the best of vacation, no matter what. The crew was always cleaning and maintaining the ship.

I do somewhat agree that the buffet was an annoyance due to the lines. I'm not sure if it was the design or what but in general the lines moved relatively fast. I also disliked the early closing times of many of the lunch venues, but I doubt that is a Glory specific issue and imagine it is fleet wide. As a side note, there are two lines at guys and most people favor the poolside line, so you can usually zip through the other side fairly quickly.

The highlight of our trip was the alchemy bar. The alchemist were absolutely wonderful and I spent a portion of every night with them. Unfortunately, I believe that their contracts are almost finished, so they might not be on the Glory much longer. The other bars were usually crowded, but I enjoyed several of the bartenders at the casino bar, and the aft pool bar as well.

Disembarkation was a smooth process for us. We chose to carry-off our bags and as a benefit of being on the first floor, we were off the ship, through customs and calling for our ride at 7:37 am. As a side note, we used Machu Picchu for parking in New Orleans and would highly recommend their service.

Overall, I had a wonderful time on the Glory, and as I plan for the next adventure, I have no problem with cruising on her again. I really liked the size and layout of the Conquest class.
