I was looking at the walking route on Maps, and it looks like you have to cross over to the other side of the street at some point, up to Pier 90 and then back down to Pier 88.    Is that correct?   Or can you stay on the river side of the street all the way to Pier 88?

It's not a sidestreet, it's a car-free walkway that runs all along the Hudson in that area. That's the view as soon as you exit the ferry terminal heading north towards the MCT.  We loved the Residence Inn when we stayed there last September. Tons of parking in the parking garage attached to the hotel

Just trying to confirm, you can stay on the walkway once you reach the Intrepid? No crossing the street (as Google maps is showing) to enter the terminal at Pier 88?

Those pictures were on my phone but yes. My husband and I ran up to the top deck all the way in the front to watch the sail in.. Everyone on your ship was waving.. I have never been up close to another ship like that before while pulling into port it was very very exciting.. I watched your sail away from Jack's while sipping my rum punch!!

    Thank you for following

Always love watching the ships😍 Wish we had longer in GT it's so beautiful and Jack's Shack is fun. So sorry to hear about your phone troubles.

  3. Freeport gets a bad rap because people are afraid to go any where but port lucaya. Venture farther down the road. We just went to banana bay and it was pure bliss. A mile of beach with maybe 10 people on it and a great restaurant. Sand is super soft and if the tide is out get ready to find sand dollars. As soon as I figure out how to post photos I will prove it. The whole day including meal for 3, plenty of drinks and the best conch fritters I have ever had for under $130. The only people we ran into were the European locals that live on the island. It totally reminded me of cruising 20 years ago before the ports got packed, with mega ships

Wow your description sounds amazing and right up my families alley. That being said we arrive in Freeport at around 7 am and leave at 1:30. I would be up for taking the family over to the Bananna Bay but my problem is that the restaraunt does not open until noon. By that time we will be heading back towards the ship. Any ideas or opinions about my situation? Thanks in advance, any and all information is welcomed.

We also would love to visit Banana Bay on our port day in Freeport, however our itinerary is also 7am - 1:30. Is it possible to explore the beach in the AM until the restaurant opens?

  4. We are taking our 3 year old boy on the Magic in a few weeks. He goes to daycare/preschool and loves teachers and playing with other kids. What kind of activities to they have for that age group?

Following! Our little guy is 3 as well.
