I was on the Adventure of the Seas Christmas sailing. The food in the main dining room was all right if you ate beef. On Christmas day the brisket I ordered was corned beef, not braised meat as one would expect. It arrived with potato pancakes which is what one would expect with brisket. I know corned beef is cured brisket but that was not what was indicated. As for the Windjammer as an earlier posted mentioned the pile of dried out hamburger patties looked bad. The food on the ship did not compared with Princess or Holland America ships. Also the drink prices seemed high.

I am seriously considering a cruise on the Oasis of the Sea. Since I have never been on such a large ship I am wondering if it seems crowded. Thanks for an answer.

There is a 10 day HAL New England cruise leaving from Boston on 8/24/16 to consider.

Will be at Copenhagen airport this fall. What is a Chin/Pin card, please? I guess it is some kind of bank card but am not familiar with term Chin. Thanks.

What costs $60.00 a day, surely not tips?

On a Celebrity casino does one use the cruise card, cash, or whichever one prefers? Thanks.

Been years since I've been on an NCL cruise but have impression that there are many more extra fee restaurants than most lines. Is this true?

My first cruise was in 1982 on the Volendam to Bermuda. The last one was a TA on the Emerald Princess 9/2012. :)

Hello Karen, I'm a 76 year old widow & travel solo now. Have taken several trans-Atlantic cruises in the past few years & am hooked on them. Try to take 2 cruises a year but hasn't always worked out, other things crop up. :)

biaria, This question may have been answered pages ago, however here goes. As a first time visitor to Funchal, is the basket ride something not to be missed. Would it be better to take the western tour of the island? Thanks. :)

My husband & I sailed on our first cruise 8/29/82. The ship was the Volendam to Bermuda, round trip from NYC. I'll always remember the cabin steward stopping by after we arrived at our cabin. He started a sales pitch for renting a tux, looked at my husband (who was rather tall etc.), and then STOPPED. If anyone knows what happened to the Volendam I'd appreciate knowing. :)

An arranged share would NOT be a vacation as far as I'm concerned. I cannot imagine what one would do about the in cabin safe let alone all the other items to consider .

Another good book is Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. The Frank is Frank Lloyd Wright. Also Lady's Maid by Margaret Foster. :)

Could someone who has been to the cameo factory tell me if you see cameos being made or is it just a retail establishment?
Holland America Bringing O’s Reading Room Fleetwide

I read many books but do not belong to a book club. It would bother me to have a book I just enjoyed discussed to death. Also, one personality dominating a fleet is not a good thing, could be wrong but heard she has items for sale on board. :)
