I'm sorry I won't be able to help you with the information you are trying to find. But I did want to say that my first ever cruise was on Galaxy and I will forever love that ship. I wouldn't sail on anything else if it was still around (it was sold to a German line and became "My Ship").
Good luck with your search!

Okay, hear me out...Blaring from the loudspeakers as sailaway commences, the opening theme from "Jonny Quest". It's fun, it's bombastic, it speaks to the adventure of the cruise.

In an age where a multitude of THC edibles, tinctures, pills, sublinguals and vaporizers are available (where it's legal, of course) anyone smoking an actual joint on a ship is just plain stupid. THC extract, when vaped, does not smell like WEED (I feel obligated to capitalize it now). Edibles have no pot smell at all and can be consumed without offending other passengers. There is simply no need to smoke actual flower on a ship.

Probably me. I don't bully anyone but if the chair has been empty 20 minutes I put the stuff on a table and move the chair 10 feet. They come back two hours later and look confused. 🤗
I love it!

They were replaced by Chair Bullies, who are people that sleep until noon and then come to the pool deck and expect to get a prime lounger location and bully people until they get what they want. You're being facetious, right? Is that really happening?

I have to ask.
What are formal night wars?
There was a time, pre-Covid, when the pros and cons of formal nights and what to wear, ignited some pretty heated debate here. People who violated the dress code in the MDR on formal nights were roundly criticized by those who adhered to the rules. Verbal combat could take place across multiple threads on a good day.
The mods often had to tamp down the flare-ups. Formal night rules were enforced unevenly, which only prompted more skirmishes. But now it seems lines are moving away from formal night altogether, so that may be why the issue is no longer so heated.

There was a time when the issue of cruisers claiming empty deck chairs by simply putting a book or towel on it, was a heated issue on these boards. With the return to cruising now in full swing, and ships are sailing at full capacity, is this still an issue or is everyone "over it"? The same question with the formal night wars. Not looking to start anything, I'm just curious if people have simply moved on from these formerly hot topics. -

Glad it wasn’t a huge deal and that they’re safe.
Full disclosure: nothing makes me quite as happy as watching folks drunkenly rush down the pier in Cozumel. I get back on board and find a prime spot just to watch this event, which I wish was an Olympic sport.
Olympic sport or reality TV show, I think.

Not silly at all. Apparently there will only be unhappiness if an outbreak is caused by an unvaxx person, but won't be any uproar if more vaxx people keep showing up positive. Got it!
Your question remains silly. You've created a dumb premise out of thin air. Actually "silly" is too kind a word.

Will you also be unhappy if there is an outbreak among the vaxx passengers (like over the last several days)?
Silly question. One can be unhappy over any outbreak, but with unvaccinated people, the risk is higher.

I can fully understand why you don't like questions like the one you posed anyway...🙄

And we have to pay for it ourselves! Saved some money didn't you Royal. I guess being vaccinated doesn't really mean a lot in this case.
You don't have to pay for it. You can simply choose not to cruise. RCL doesn't do business for your convenience.

I think this is just paranoia on RC's part
They have a right to be paranoid. The continued viability of their business is at stake.

People got to get over it. Covid is here, wash hour hands and move on.
Yeah, that's not how viruses and pandemics work.

So it appears that RCG doesn't believe the vaccine is working enough. So let's review...
Today word from RCL comes out suddenly that all vaccinated passengers to be tested for a future cruise on the Adventure.
Today, word is released that two passengers test positive on a vaccinated cruise from Celebrity.
Naw... now way these two things are related.
Sure sounds like RCG is starting to question vsaccines.
Sure sounds like you're wrong.

This does suck, just another way RCI continues to heap crap on the very folks that are making their “return” even a reality🙈. Seriously, what’s wrong with these folks? The constant three steps forward and four steps back shows a terribly unstable and extremely unprofessional management which is unsettling for people that have $$$$ on the line for paid in full cruise purchases. There’s no denying they are facing challenges however we haven’t exactly had an easy ride either and frankly I think we should be able to expect more from a company like RCI. This yo-yo routine is getting really old so make a decision RCI and stick with it and stop jerking people around!
It just ain’t nice!👿
Easy to say when you don't have to make the decisions for a multi-million dollar company.

Total waste of time and resources to test vaccinated passengers and completely inappropriate to add a new requirement 48 hours before sailing.
Wah, wah wah!
When you run a cruise line you can make up your own rules.
In the meantime, if you don't like it, stay home.
Hope this helps...

SHAME ON Royal Caribbean for not following the CDC guidelines. Our family of ten will not travel on Royal until the proof of vaccination policy is in place. Let's be honest. If Royal had the backbone to say they would not use the ports in Florida or Texas, the governors would have backed down.
Furious.
Could not agree more. RCL let DeSantis bully them. If they had held firm, he would have folded under the pressure of the Florida cruise industry.

I can't wait to get my first glimpse of "Grand Princess" as we drive up to the pier. That's when the cruise will become real to me.

Can't wait to:
use the shampoo/body wash combo.
see dirty plates in the hallways.
get on an elevator and see all of the buttons have been pressed.
find that stateroom with an upside down pineapple on the door.
see people touch buffet food with their hands.
be hassled for a tip by a porter.
That's the cruiser spirit! 😒

It's a challenge.
And yep, having it fall apart when you want is so suave
The trick is to make sure the length of the bow tie (they're adjustable) is the same as your neck size. Once I learned how to tie one, I couldn't stop buying them! 😄

8 Vessels on order
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Norwegian has just announced eight new ships across three brands!
https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2024/04/norwegian-cruise-line-holdings-8-new-ships-for-3-brands/
This strikes me as a pretty bold move and a huge commitment to staking its claim in the coming cruise boom. Then throw in the construction of new piers and it's clear that NCL expects their private island to add a substantial share to the bottom line.
The shape of things to come.
