I used the Shaka Guide "Classic" Road to Hana driving tour app. You have to drive yourself but the tour is only $7.99 and is completely guided by GPS offline. It told us exactly where to go and showed us all the cool spots we would have missed otherwise.

Bring lots of water and she should be fine! The humidity and heat is pretty bearable in December especially with all the rain. Cool off in the water too.
