I used this for an example yesterday on another thread, hope it helps...After final payment/Sail Date was March 22nd. Cruise Rate 1,448.00 Refunded as FCC

Taxes, Fees, Port Expenses and Fuel Supplement* 291.28 Refunded to original form of payment

    Total Cruise Charges 1,739.28

OPTIONAL CHARGES Prepaid Gratuities 167.88 Total Optional Charges 167.88 Refunded to original form of payment

My FCC will be the cruise fare only $1448

Refunded to my Credit Card  $ 459.16

I think a lot of people are thinking they are getting ripped off because they aren't getting the taxes/fees as part of the FCC and they think when they are re-booking they are getting charged again.

This is very helpful!!  Thank you!!

  2. Our family of four are in two rooms...on paper, DD and DS in one room and myself and DD in another room (it was less expensive to book this way and we get more room).  If we wanted to purchase the photo package, we would actually have to purchase two photo packages if I want to have pictures with the 4 of us in them, correct? Or can I not even do the photo package and get all four of us in the same picture?

If I don't buy the photo package and buy just one or two pictures while on board, can the 4 of us be in the same picture that I buy?

  3. Does the CK show in the same place as the other dining? I am in a Crown Loft on Symphony in November but I don't see he CK in my planner.

When I choose dining in my planner, it shows all the specialty restaurants (ecluding CK) for dinner at their individual prices. I scroll down and it shows specialty restaurants for lunch (in this case only Chops). I continue to scroll, it shows the different dining packages including three night, four night, BOGO, etc. Then, I scroll down, and it shows Specialty Dining Complimentary in this case CK. I can add it to my cart and choose for whom I make the reservation for and day/time.

I will be honest...not sure if it was always there from the day I booked the cruise or if it just showed up one day. I just never thought to scroll down that far.

  4. My Symphony 4/13/19 cruise went up from 53 to 56$...refreshment and soda stayed the same (26/9.95)..

BUT - VOOM Surf/Stream went down to $11.99 and the coffee card showed up ($36 after taxes)...so overall I think that was a win for me!

Same for our Allure 04/14/19 cruise. Was $53 for beverage package and now jumped up to $56. However surf/stream went down and saved $100 for the week for the 4 device package.

  5. I'm OP. We are 2 parents + 13 yo (RCL charges as adult) + 8 yo. I'll be the one who sleeps in inside. So cabin arrangement is no issue.

the only issue that I read so far is different muster station, which should not be an issue. How about dining reservation?

We have two separate reservation numbers for our two rooms. Myself and DD15 in one room and my husband DS12 in the other room. But we have connecting rooms. So on paper it will say one thing...sleeping arrangements will be Different.

We have MTD but I have made reservations for first night as well as the two formal nights. I just went into My Cruise Planner under my reservation number to make the reservation. It asks if you want to invite another reservation...so I just put in my husbands reservation number and I was allowed to make dinner reservations for the 4 of us.

  6. We booked for 4 (myself, my husband, DD15 and DS12) in two OV balcony connecting rooms for our cruise on Allure this coming April. It was less expensive then to put 4 of us in one OV balcony. The one perk for us besides extra room is that My husband can get the drink package without the rest of us having to buy any package. The kids will be fine with water and lemonade. I am fine with water, hot tea, and just one or two drinks for the week.

Also each room got $225 in OBC. So beats just getting a credit on one room.

Looking forward to not being on top of each other.

  7. We will be on Allure in April with a 12 and a 15 year old. Both are in the teen groups. For your 12 year old, s/he will be able to sign themselves in and out on their own. It has been recommended that on the first night there is a meet and greet for that age group and that my kids should attend that as that's when they will most likely meet kids their ages. The rest of the week will be hit or miss as to whether that age group will hang out in the teen club or just hangout by themselves around the ship.

For your younger child, you should register that child on the first day (embarkation) for Adventure Ocean during their open house hours. Its also a goo time to view the different places where they will be hanging out.

  8. That is for Izumi’s not the Habachi

It states that under the Izumi Hibachi experience. Just click on the additional terms and conditions.

Izumi’s (without the. Hibachi) is a la carte pricing. Therefore the child will be charged for whatever they choose off the menu.

  9. Thanks everybody. I did not think it would be a problem for him to eat off the adult menu if I paid the adult price. Like many have mentioned, he would prefer to eat off the adult menu. Don't get me wrong, he enjoys his fair share of chicken fingers and mac and cheese. But he also loves steak, seafood and all sorts of other good foods!! I just did not want to assume and then be disappointed when we get there.

  10. According to the Mr. Sancho's website you can order off the menus (which you posted links to) OR you can eat off the buffet. I am wondering what foods they put out on the buffet, if you choose to eat that and not order off the menu.

The all inclusive buffet menu is also in the links. Its this one: http://www.mrsanchos.com/media/wysiwyg/menus2017/Menu_Alimentos_All_Inclusive_2017.jpg. That's the one for those who eat off the buffet that you are asking about.

The other menu with prices is for the people who do not do all inclusive. This menu: http://www.mrsanchos.com/media/wysiwyg/menus2017/Menu_Alimentos_a_la_carta_2017_TC_17.jpg. This is the a la carte menu for those who are paying for each item they order.

  11. Those are the menus that you can order from, right? I've seen those. I was curious about what they put out on the buffet. Do they just lay all that stuff out too?

The first link...which says all inclusive is the one you would want. Is there another all inclusive menu you are looking for??

The second link includes both the a la carte menu as well as the all inclusive menu. So either link provides you with the one you are looking for...I would think.

  12. We have never been to any of these. We, too are not looking for all inclusive. We are looking for a place that has the inflatables.

I ended up deciding on Paradise Beach. First, as previously stated, you do not have to book in advance. So, if weather is yucky that day. We don't have to go. It is $3/person to get in which I will pay for the 4 of us. DD15 and DS14 will get the $18 wristband for the inflatables. DH and myself will not get the wristband. I believe they would like you to buy $10 worth of food. I don't know if this per person or total...either way i am sure we will order something light. However, we probably won't eat a lot. And we will probably not drink...I can't drink in the hot sun. And we will need to pay for a taxi.

Paradise Beach looks more relaxing to me with the trees and the loungers by the pool and on the beach.

I looked at Mr. Sanchos. I really don't want to commit ahead of time. And I understand Mr. Sanchos can sell out. I just assumed that you had to pay the AI fee. I did not see an a la carte entrance fee on their website. If there is, it might be my second option. But I am probably going to stick with Paradise Beach.

Playa Mia is a minimum of $30 a person (excluding bar and buffet). However, Playa Mia does not look relaxing to me. Although, Playa Mia does have some water slides as well.

  13. Your kids are both in the teen group, and not really part of Adventure Ocean. They can come and go as they please, you aren't needed to sign them up for anything, but if they want to do group activities that require waivers, like rock wall, ice skating and flowrider, those will need to be taken care of before the activity. On the first night they do some fun ice breaker/getting to know you activites, my kids always said they were fun. Most of the time during the day they would choose to meet up with friends in the pool, evenings they would go to the club, but if it got boring, they would often end up back in the pool or hot tubs. I

Thank you. So i do not need to register them ahead of time? That's one less thing off my "to do" list on the first day of the cruise!! Yay!!

  14. My DD will be 15 and DS will be 12 on our cruise in April.

For Adventure Ocean Club do I register them on the first day or is registration only for the younger groups? I understand that they can sign themselves out/in of the club during the week. I am fine with that.

Also, there is a teen meet up that first night around 8. I have read that it is suggested that the kids attend that event so they can have a better chance of meeting kids their own ages.

Do you usually find that there are enough events to keep the teens busy or you do you find that the kids tend to just meet up on their own and hang out in different parts of the ship.
