Thanks. I booked a train that is scheduled to arrive at 10:45 and then I will have to wait to get

one checked bag. It's a Sunday. I am reading above. So it appears I leave Penn Station at 31st or

33rd Street to find a taxi or an Uber?

On my last cruise I traveled solo. I found that Norwegian has a car service Groundlink. Their phone number is

800-327-7030.. Here is the link to the information on the NCL site. The car driver texted me when was close

and got me to the terminal in good time. If you scroll down it cost $35 from Penn Station to the terminal. Just

    on suggestion.

  2. I see that some have posted about their excursions.

I am booked in Cork for -- Kinsale Village & Countryside Views (EXCURSION

LE HAVRE (PARIS), FRANCE - Picturesque Honfleur

TILBURY (LONDON, ENGLAND) On My OWN TOUR  Friends suggested Sky Garden and Abbey Road also suggested I get a ticket for "On and Off Bus" tours.

  3. I am also traveling solo on a trans Atlantic cruise leaving April 28 - May 11 from NYC to Cork, Dublin, Paris, London,

and Brussels - disembarking in Amsterdam on the Pearl. I am also a little concerned about this as I will also be

flying from Amsterdam for 6 days in Dublin at a Bed and Breakfast. I am 66, female and a retired teacher who has

never been in Europe. Can you explain to me what you mean by "join the roll call"...

    Thanks

  4. You are correct Keith, and thanks

    I stand corrected. From NCL:

Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below.

    750 ml Bottle: $15.00 USD

    1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 USD

Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or from another retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board.

Its not actually free. They boost the price up so you end up paying for it anyway. Check it out, get a price with the Bev package and one without to see the difference. Add in the gratuities and you have to drink quite a bit every day to break even.

I have already purchased the gratuities package. I have been on 2 other cruises with a relative. I have decided I will purchase a few bottles of wine at the first and second dinner and use them at dinners.  I don't drink enough to make this feasible.

  6. Has anyone who is the process of booking a Norwegian Cruise in the near future

noticed that the Premium Beverage Package (formerly known as Ultimate Beverage Package)

has increased in price to $99 per day. I already have a nice suite so will not be

upgrading and I do not drink enough to pay this much. I have traveled with my cousin

in the past and she paid the Beverage Package but it was not this expensive.

I believe my cruise consultant told me that NCL has changed their policy.

That Ireland tour that I'm going on isn't part of the cruise.  It is something separate.  But you mentioned getting off the ship and spending a few days in Ireland.  I have 3 days in Ireland on my own until the land tour meets in Dublin.  Just thought you might be there the same time I am.

I might be. I am traveling on my own.

  8. Yes, it is. I am 67 married and my husband is agreeable but a bit concerned. After getting to Brussels I am considering flying back to Ireland for a few days and then to London. I would fly back to NYC from London.

A cruise consultant from Norwegian has hooked me up with a great site. www.skyscanner.com for finding flights, hotels, etc.

I have put a hold on the trip and emailed the consultant. I have about $1000+ ready to put down on it already. I live in southern Delaware and would take a train from Wilmington to Manhattan  AMTRAK station which I saw was very close to the NCL Harbor.
