  1. Thank you for responding!

I didn't even think of areas not safe to walk in, duh! Also, glad to know about the sidewalk to the port, that's what I was afraid of. Our trip is in February. Ideally, I'd like to stay downtown so we can shop and sight see or possibly stay by the beach, either way we need to find transport with our 2 boys. What would our options be without car seats? I'm having a hard time finding information by googling it.

What is the name of the trolley? Does it go to the port? Do you know which hotels offer a pay shuttle to take us to the port?

Although, we still have to get from the port to the airport, so I need ideas there, unless the airport itself has a pay shuttle?

  2. I found a hotel that is 4 minutes (driving) from the Port. It's only a 24 minute walk and we will have time to waste, is this doable?

My biggest question is I am trying to avoid bringing car seats with. I've heard a lot of people do this, but what transport do you use from the Port back to the airport? I was going to use the hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I don't think an Uber would work because we would need car seats, right? Help!

    Thank you!

  3. My family and I are flying into Miami the day before our cruise to sight-see. We will use the hotel shuttle to get us from the airport to the hotel, but what about getting to the port? We didn’t plan on bringing car seats so Uber isn’t really an option. Thoughts? We’d also need a service from the port to the airport when we got off the cruise.

  4. I am taking my 20 month olds on a cruise in February. I'm hoping for calmer waters that time of the year. Anyways, I don't know if I need to bring car seats with? I'm hoping just a small stroller and baby carrier, but I don't know how to transport at any ports without a car seat... is anything in walking distance? If not, do I need a car seat? TIA!

    We are stopping at:

    Road Town, Virgin Islands

    St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda

    Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis

    Fort de France, Martinique

    Phillipsburg, St. Maarten

  5. Do people travel with car seats? Are they needed? I have seen so many yes and no answers, but I don't want to lug around 2 car seats if I don't have to. I'm thinking a baby carrier and small stroller are all that I will need. Please, any advise you can give on taking little ones would be extremely helpful. TIA!

  6. I am going on my first cruise in February and am super excited and scared at the same time. I hope we get lucky with calm seas.

Anyways, I'm going to the following ports:

    Road Town, Virgin Islands

    St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda

    Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis

    Fort de France, Martinique

Can anyone tell me a little about the ports? Is there anything in walking distance? Do you have to take a bus everywhere? Are there car rentals? Any advise/information you can give me is greatly, greatly appreciated. TIA!
