No, some ships still have formal nights, but as others have mentioned it makes little difference.
Yep! Pretty much know that it doesn't make a difference, but still just curious! 🙂
I forgot when I posted this that it could turn into one of those types of threads. There was no intention of it being a let's get the popcorn out thread, LMAO. Nothing more than simple curiosity.

Or shorts and a wife beater. And don’t forget the ball cap, worn backward at the table.
Im gonna get my popcorn...
I am thinking daisy dukes and a cut off t shirt saying I'm on a cruise feed me alcohol. Will that work instead of a wife beater?

On the Anthem last month it was described as wear your best. It was a nine night cruise.
Yes. This is what I thought. Length of cruise does not matter any more. From scuttlebutt about it looks like Royal is trending to all ships "Wear Your Best". I am just curious to hear what ships people are seeing this on. So, TYVM!

One of the sites we are not supposed to mention here posted this update they received from Royal Caribbean.
September 13 Update:
We have received further clarification on this change.
- All short itineraries (5-nights or less) offer a “Wear Your Best” evening onboard (in lieu of a formal night). Royal Caribbean describes it as: Nighttime’s the right time to wear your best look. That means a step up from your tropical dinner wear, and includes collared shirts, dresses, skirts, blouses and pantsuits. Jackets, tuxedos/formal wear sports coats and blazers are also appropriate.
- Sailings that are 6-nights or longer still have formal nights. This includes Harmony of the Seas and all sister ships sailing 6+ night itineraries
Thank you.

If. Sounds too tedious for me, after I thought about it.

Oh wait. I'd have to look for a compass for each ship. My idea is not such a good one. Unless there is a thread with the compass from various ships. Maybe? Probably not.😊

And March 2019 is that long ago either. Not that new. I've seen Cruise Compasses posted on here on CC this year that have it published both ways. Difference is from ship to ship. It's only a suggestion.
Thank you for the suggestion, no pun intended. Maybe i can look for recent compass from like last month or 2.😊

Does it really matter what they call it. Nothing is ever enforced and it’s really “wear whatever you like”
No. Just curious, no worries.

We did a B2B on the Freedom March 2019. The Cruise Compass listed all evenings as, "Dress Code Suggestion...".
Yes it has been written that way for years *suggested*, but this is very new. That is why I am asking now.

Has "Wear Your Best" been rolled out fleet wide to replace formal nights or just to some ships?

Check out my Harmony cruise about a month ago, had an omelette a couple times.

Thanks. 😉

Deck 12 on S class or M class? Isn't that the gym and spa on S class forward?
I suspect M class, but on a webinar last week they didn't exactly say. They just said Deck 12 forward. That is all. Yes, it is puzzling.

With the revolution drydock re-fits starting within the next 6 months or so, I have not seen new "post revolution" deck plans for either the M or S class of ships. Nothing on the website, but with Celebrity's cracker jack IT team, it wouldn't surprise me that they're available, but just have not been added to the website.
I thought I had read a post that stated the 18th deck on the ships (I believe they were referring to the M-class ships) were going to be used for the private suites-only retreat deck, which Celebrity has said will be part of the revolution re-fits. I then realized that none of the Celebrity ships even have a deck 18 (especially the M-class, which only go up to Deck 12). So I've brushed that off as to pure speculation.
Has anyone seen any new deck plans that have been provided by Celebrity? The current schedule goes through the spring of 2020, so an entire year of itineraries now available for booking without knowing what the ship is going to look like (more so the use of the public spaces)? I know I won't make a booking without seeing what the outcome of the "revolution" will look like.
Thanks.
The Retreat will be on Deck 12 forward. You're right, Deck 18 is incorrect.

Devastating....all are in my thoughts and prayers...

This is beyond horrifying. Prayers to EVERYONE...the families of the victims whose loved ones are gone, the crew on board Equinox....the crew we are friends with on Equinox.....:ship: Things like this should just never happen. I am beyond sad and will keep all in my prayers...

All caught up, and happy to follow along! Equinox is next up for us!

Excited and look forward to your posts!

Maybe they could try to do it like Disney, and you rotate, with your waiters, through the different restaurants through the cruise *sly grin*
That is what Dynamic Classic 1 And Classic 2 are (were).

I didn't get a call and what, they wait for final payment of the Nov 27th cruise to announce this. We loved DD on Quantum and all our dinners and shows have been linked with friends so very unhappy about this whole thing. There was no problem with DD when we sailed Quantum. It's Classic that's messing things up.

You know I really enjoyed Dynamic dining! :)

Great scoping of your JS! Thanks so much for taking the time and enjoy your cruise! :)

I vote for a Celebrity ship full time out of Bayonne too. Not that my vote counts to Celebrity, lol!
I would double check the info that Rhapsody is sailing out of NJ summer 2017. I see summer 2017 Rhapsody itineraries out of Venice (there was a switch around JUNE 1, 2016). Vision is doing a couple CA/NE out of NJ in Sept 2017.
