  1. My husband and I have been on numerous cruises - Disney, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean (our favorite so far).  We recently booked a cruise on Summit for June 2023 because the itinerary was what we were looking for and we wanted to try out a Celebrity cruise.

What should we expect?  My husband read somewhere no flip flops or shorts.  What is the typical dress code on this line?  Any other major differences?

  2. We took this cruise May 26-June 1.  Our first time on Norwegian (we’ve been on 6 cruises using Disney and Royal Caribbean).  Found the ship to be clean, the staff extremely nice and we adored Bermuda.

LOVED the no pressure upsells which Royal is well known for!  So pleasant to just be able to walk around the ship with no sales pitches.

We did not dine on board at any places where you would have to pay extra.  We were very disappointed in the food - diner quality food at best.  Sad since we liked the ship but will probably try Celebrity next cruise to Bermuda.

The pool situation was intolerable.  Days at sea you couldn’t get a toe near the pool.  We ended up in H2O in the hot tubs. Was surprised to see the ship staff putting stickers on the chairs to see if the “owners” showed up, or it they just saved the seats all day.

Discovered if you are a beach person it’s cheaper to do Horseshoe Bay Beach on your own than an excursion.  We caught a taxi at the dock for $7/person each way.  We did indulge in an umbrella/lounge chairs on the beach ($50, but well worth the cost to us).

Overall a nice cruise with beautiful weather

  3. We chose this cruise specifically for Key West and Cuba as we have never been there before. I understand that we need to take an educational tour at Havana. Any suggestions for an interesting one? When the tour is over are we allowed to walk around on our own or do we need to go right back to the ship? When we get to Cienfuegos do we have to take a second educational tour of does the one from Havana count?

    TIA
