  1. We have done a B2B where we changed cabins and it was no big deal. We packed up the things that were in the drawers and left the hanging things in the closet. We left to meet with other B2B guest to get new S&S cards, ate lunch, and went to our new cabin where our things were waiting. Obviously, it is easier to stay in the same cabin, but it’s not a big deal if you decide to change cabins.

I'm starting to plan for our Iceland/Ireland cruise in June 2022. I tend to do a lot of research early so I'm ready to lock in on tours when the timing is right. I'm struggling with what to do in port in Iceland. This will be our one and only time to visit this beautiful country so we want to make the most of it!!

We are scheduled to dock in Reykjavik at 10:00am with an overnight in port departing the next day at 1:00pm. From my reach it appears the 2 most popular tours are Golden Circle and South Coast. If you could only do one, which one would you do and why? I'm thinking the morning of our 2nd day we will do a walking tour of Reykjavik. Really not time to do much else.

We are scheduled to dock in Akureyri, at 10:00am with an overnight in port departing the next day at 2:00pm. I have found that the most popular tour here is the Lake Myvatn Tour. Thoughts or other suggestions?

Thank you in advance for sharing your insights and experiences!!

Are you on the Jewel? We have a similar (maybe exact) itinerary on our Jewel cruise leaving Amsterdam on July 2, 2022. These replies will help me make our plans!

    Happy planning,

Just curious.  I am wanting to take a Norwegian Fjords or Iceland cruise and this isn't a route Carnival normally takes.  (They have one, but dates don't work.)

I was looking at Celebrity and had a little sticker shock.  We like to do a Havana room, Vista balcony or Suite on Carnival and a comparable room on Celebrity is at least twice the price.

We did Norway and Baltic B2B in June  on RCL. We loved it! However, we have booked a cruise to Norway (I told you we loved it!) for June 2021 on Carnival Legend!

We have sailed HAL, Carnival, RCL, and NCL. I wouldn’t go back on NCL. Our itinerary and cabin were wonderful, but everything else was meh. I would cruise any of the others at any time!

Are you totally wedded to Kronborg?  I say this because, while the exterior was interesting to see, the interior wasn’t very special. Moreover,  Frederiksborg Castle is truly extraordinary, sort of a Danish Versailles. Just throwing that out there as food for thought.

    Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the advice.  Frederiksborg sounds fabulous, and I would love to visit. However, I am set on Kronborg because of its tie to Hamlet.  I’m a HS English teacher, and Hamlet is my favorite Shakespearean play!

Laundry is a consideration since we will have 29 days of travel total.  Has anyone taken laundry off the ship on these turnaround days, especially in Copenhagen and have for suggestions for me?

    Penny,

Maybe all of B2Bers can take over a laundromat for a few hours! The would be a great meet and greet!😜  I know laundry is going to be an issue for us as well!

  6. Last summer I was a part of a group celebrating high school graduation with 8 recent grads. They were their own group, but every time we saw our group of grads they had new friends with them. The 16 yo and 2 friends did the same thing. They had each other, but they had added to their tribe every time we saw them.  Both groups had tons of fun. The adults did too! Hope your twins have a great spring and enjoy making many memories between now and graduation!

  7. My family needed to make one of these calls.  They called the 800 number for the cruise line and were eventually transferred to a manager/supervisor who was very kind and helpful.  She explained our itinerary to our family members explaining that we were disembarking the next morning and that we couldn’t get home any faster.  The family decided not to call us and met us at the airport to deliver the unwelcomed news. My family was very pleased with the response they received from the cruise line.

  8. When I use Google Maps for my route from hotel (Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers) to Tivoli, it gives me two train options. One is 29 and the other Öresundståg. Are these two options the same? They leave at the same time. If they aren’t the same, could someone explain the difference?

I’ve learned so much from this post and this site! Thank you to all who contribute!
