Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your responses did help to alleviate some of my anxieties about the trip.

My husband and I are thinking of booking the 7 night Royal Clipper Grenadines cruise in January to celebrate my 40th birthday. I was on a large cruise ship once many years ago and wasn't a fan. I have a couple of questions/concerns. 1. Is it possible to explore independently at the various stops and not do organized tours? 2. Is there time to dine at local bars and restaurants instead of eating on the ship? 3. The only rooms available are category 2. Is it claustrophobic without having a large window or balcony? Any other helpful hints would be much appreciated before I commit to booking.
