  1. Wondering if it is possible to do both in the same time with a little time to spare. Travelling on RCI and arriving at 7am, leaving at 6pm. There is an Xmas cove excursion through the ship, we would love to try, but wondering if we can then go to the Tree Limin' zipline and how long it would take.  Easier to do the zipline through the cruise or on our own?

  2. Our itinerary was changed and we are now going to San Juan...again...for the 3rd of 4th time.  We are disappointed we aren't going to a different island.  Hubby is not a fan of San Juan at all and doesn't even want to get off the boat.  How can I get him off the boat? I am sure we are missing out on something that is there.  We are there from 7am to 1pm.  Two years ago we just walked around and checked out a shop or two and went back on the ship.  We have an 8 and 11 year old that liked the Del Sle store, but wasn't really into looking at the older buildings.

  3. As a family of 4 (with two kids being 8 and 11) is there anything that was really enjoyable to do that we shouldn't miss out on?  Maybe jetski, boat tours, zipline, snorkling, etc?  Not really looking to spend the entire day sitting on a beach.  We loved Magens bay before kids, but don't remember if there are things to do there besides lounging.

  4. We were at Coki beach and Coral World way back in 2006.  Not much was going on at Coral World at the time except for a lot of iguanas and a very small part to walk around.  I think there was a hurricane before we went and not much was back up and running.  Just wondering if it is worth it to go with 2 kids now.  Can you spend more than 10 minutes walking around?

Coki beach is right next to Coral World correct?  Are there still a lot of locals trying to sell stuff?  I found that very off-putting when we were there 13 years ago.

  5. The Thrill water park pass is $118 and the zipline is $105 or both for $225.  Times that by 4 people and it is pretty darn pricey.  Sailing on the Allure on the first week of January.  So any tips to save money with 2 kids that really love water slides would be great.  If I wait to book the passes do they get cheaper?

  6. Traveling to San Juan the first week of May. So in a couple weeks now. I was there once before, but only enough time to get off the ship and walk around the streets...which was a neat experience, but looking to do something unique with my kids. Considering the forts as well, but them actually seeing the rainforest and things they don't normally expect to see is my goal for this port.

Aviator...you say you are local? I can only hope that the recovery from the hurricanes are moving along and getting back to somewhat of a normal. I can't imagine the devastation anyone has gone through and wish you the best.

  7. We will be in San Juan from 7am to 2:30pm. Looking to do something different, educational and fun. I have been seeing images of El Yunque National Forest and it looks beautiful. I am a hobby photographer so the scenery looks breaktaking. RCI offers The Window Cave Adventure, but not sure if that will fit the bill or not.

Are there any companies/tours that take you to the rain forests? Can you recommend a good one that you used? When walking through the rain forests is it usually longer hikes or shorter. I have kids ages 6 and 9 so I don't know how far I will be able to get them walk.

  8. I am wondering, when you are on board, do they have packages where you can just buy a few prints or a few digital photos on a USB?

Do prices get cheaper for the entire USB package on board or close to the trip? Looking for the best deal without having to pay a fortune.

Was it worth it to you to get the USB package?

  9. I have to admit, I already know I will be spending money on photos. We are getting a family photo done at least since we haven't had one in 6 years. Anyways, I see the offering of the 20 images on USB or 20 prints, which one is better in your opinion or the best bang for your buck? What happens if there are more than 20 images that you want (does that happen)? Additional cost I am guessing? How many images did you walk away with?

We are on Anthem of the Seas in May.

Any tips or advice would be great!

  10. Looking for suggestions for excursions for the family. We would love to go zip lining, but is there any place that will accept kids who are 6? Does a guide zip with them if they are too small to do it themselves?

Was also thinking something like a 4x4 ot dune buggy tour or something like that would be fun for the kids. Anything like that in San Juan?

  11. Any good ziplining excursion that will be fun for young kids and adults? Hubby and I really want to go ziplining and we will have our kids with us (first time cruising with them).

Anyone recommend a good ziplining excursion? Or maybe there is something better in San Juan for kids and adults?

  12. Just wondering if there is any good fishing excursions close to Maho beach? I have a 6 year old that really wants to go fishing with his dad. We also want to catch a plane or two land at Maho beach, is it super noisy?

Any other excursions that might be suited for a mom and daughter around maho beach as well. My daughter is 9 years old.

  13. We are definitely wanting to do Dolphin Quest, but our 6 year old has been asking to go fishing for a long time. Is it possible to do both in one day? Is there another port better for fishing?

How far of a walk is Dolphin Quest from the cruise ship? We have a senior that can't walk super far distances, especially in the heat so just wondering.

Anyone recommend a company that does fishing excursions?

Also thinking while the boys do the fishing the girls do the Crystal Caves, are they worth seeing?

We are there from 8am to 4pm.
