  1. Sailed on the MSC Armonia from Miami on March 2, 2020.  Ports: Montego Bay, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Costa Maya, Mexico; Ocean Caye, Bahamas.  Returned to Miami March 9, 2020.  Yes they had easy tours listed but did not book enough people to cover the cost associated with the tour so cancelled the tours.  I was not even allowed to get off the ship in Georgetown because it was a tender and I would inconvenience the other passengers.  I promised I would not get off the bus if they would just let me go ashore and they would not let me go. The sales department knew I was handicapped because I had to fill out a special needs form for my scooter.  I really wanted to go to Georgetown.  I was taken in by their TV ads.  Should have stayed with lines I have a history with.  As a solo traveler I feel safer booking shore excursions through the ship rather than getting off and looking for a tour.  My anger has turned to depression now, so it is my fault for getting old and arthritic.

  2. Unlike me, my friend is a lifetime cruiser,  who also had never sailed on MSC before and the sales department told her they would match her status and she provided the information and MSC sent an email verifying status, but when we boarded the reception desk  disputed what the MSC sales department had promised her even though she had the email.  I have no reason to lie about this.  I guess I could say we are two old women (76) who pay a premium for being solo travelers in our own cabins and MSC saw targets for ripping us off, like some automobile mechanics think they have the right to do. I have never been a fraud or a lier just a single mother, hard worker, now disabled trying to enjoy life and see the world in my old age.  And sorry to say that after my cruise on the MSC Armonia, am somewhat bitter about being deceived.

  3. Just got off Armonia on 3/9.  No water feature in thermal spa, only steam, sauna and a shower.  There are two whirlpools outside on deck 11 but they are always full of people unless you stay on board while everyone else goes ashore.  I bought a spa package for the whole cruise but was so disappointed, I only used the sauna once and that was before a facial.  If a good thermal spa is important to you, find another ship.

  4. MSC says they will status match but in reality they do not.  It is a con to get you to book. Just sailed on Armonia with a friend who has NCL perks and MSC did not honor one of them.  Also, I think you will be disappointed in the food on an MSC ship.

  5. MSC does not want older people on their ship unless they are in tip top shape.  MSC telephone center sold me me, a $2,100.00 package, knowing that I was 76 and rode a scooter, and when I got on board I was told that I should not be on their ship because I was too old and disabled to cruise the Caribbean.  They do not have shore excursions of the easy kind. Buyer beware of MSC Cruises.

I just noticed that on the page at https://m.msccruisesusa.com/en-us/Mobile/Cruise-Deals/Cruise-Assurance-Program-FAQ.aspx

Also just 1 person can not cancel. You have to cancel the entire booking. So I would have to cancel and wait 14 days hoping that rooms are still available and the price has not gone back up.

With only 3 going now instead of 4 the price difference is about $1100. Guess I will cancel and roll the dice and hopefully we can still get back on in 2 weeks. Also they don’t allow you to use any of the future cruise credit for onboard charges. 😕

Do not roll the dice, MSC is rigged in their favor.  Cancel everything and use another cruise line.  Just returned from cruise on Armonia, if you have never sailed MSC do not start now.
