I don't do live from posts but usually do a review when I get home. That being said, I am currently on the Ruby and having a wonderful time. We got the invite to the Chef's Table, signed up for the Super Tuscan lunch and my husband won $25 in Princess prizes. If you have any questions about the ship, I'm happy to answer.
Are you able to let me know what the casual dining options are on Ruby? I don't think they have Alfredo's and we have two free meals with our plus package.
Hope you are enjoying your cruise.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

We are booked on an Ncl prima cruise in July 2025 leaving from Southampton. Can anyone advise whether we can add a cruise tour from London to our cruise? We were planning to arrive a few days early before the cruise anyway.

Priority boarding yes once you are through your check in process via your assigned lane. There is no longer a Suite or Elite line at check in. The best way to ensure expedient boarding is to get in the Green Lane and have your medallions shipped so your check in process is easier and you pass through to boarding more quickly.
Unfortunately some people can't get their medallions shipped. We are booked in a suite but are Australian so will never be in the green lane.

We are on the Ruby in June for an Alaska cruise so thanks for the detailed review. How much was the caymus wine pairing dinner if you don't mind me asking?

We are on Honolulu to Sydney Oct 2 2023. At a recent login I was asked to agree to notification about required Covid-19 test, 24 hours before boarding. Sel Test acceptable but must show negative result plus watch for time and photo ID.
I thought we were past all this.
I refuse to cruise from Australia while they have this requirement. Happy to take my money and cruise overseas.

Why would I test myself if I have no symptoms...

I have never had covid. Got back from 5 weeks in Europe travelling by plane, train and two organised coach tours. Didn't mask and my last booster was over 18 months ago.... didn't get so much as a sniffle....maybe I am immune or just lucky who knows.
-
RCI requires pre testing as well, at least they did in Jan of this year...can't imagine its changed...so it's definitely the Australian Government and the states that are requiring it...not Princess.

Another reason why I won't be cruising from Australia anytime soon. Happy to take my money overseas and cruise from Europe.

I will never ever use EZ air. again...we are still waiting for advice that our flight to Sydney was cancelled back in 2019.... we only found out because my son was travelling on the same flight and was notified the previous evening that the flight was cancelled....NO notification from Princess or EZ air

Thanks. Good to know we aren't doing anything wrong.

We are trying to complete the health declaration in the royal carribbean app for our cruise that departs tomorrow from Sydney but we keep getting an error message. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Actually I did that when I rang them. Virgin said that the notification went to princess.
The bottom line is that my son booked directly with Virgin and was notified. We booked through Eziair with princess and weren't notified.
I guess its up to you whether you take the chance that they will notify you or not. We wont be risking it again.
-
Yes virgin had all my contact details. I also had the reservation number and had done seat selection. Not sure what else I could have done.
-
No I didnt call them, thought it wasnt worth the effort.
I booked direct with Princess not through a TA. (I presume you mean travel agent)

We have just finished a 6 night cruise on Majestic Princess - had a great time, but wanted to let people know to be careful when booking Ezi air through princess.
We booked a one way flight from Adelaide to Sydney to have three days before our cruise departed.
Booking was easy and prices were good, however, on the Saturday night before we were due to leave on the Sunday (flight was 11am) our son got a notification that the flight was cancelled. He had booked independently through Virgin Australia.
We didn't get any notification at all, and actually are still waiting for our notification that the flight was cancelled (almost 2 weeks ago now). So if we hadn't found out through our son we would have turned up to the airport expecting to take the flight!
Luckily we were able to fly on the Sunday and still have our 3 days in Sydney but I doubt I would ever use Ezi air again.
