We took a 7-day cruise to Seward. Then arranged our own land tour through Alaska Rail. It worked out great, and they handle all the baggage and transportation to the rail.

The night before departing from Vancouver, we booked a room at the Pan Pacific Hotel, right at Canada Place, at the port. We got the Alaska Cruise Package, so they handled our luggage. The view from our room, in the morning, looked down at the ship, and they have a special elevator that goes directly to the port.
