They should still be open at least another 10 minutes but I tried to call and the same happened. My guess is the Call Center has shut off for the night and the automated is not transferring to stateside Reps.

Thank you.  I will try tomorrow.

Just checked the RC website.  For sailings in 2023, you cannot select Copenhagen as a port.  I have a cruise that sails from Copenhagen on Serenade in Sept 2023, and you cannot book it and it is not on cruising power.  I called RC they, said everything looks good for the sailing, but I am skeptical.  Anyone else notice this?

There is some chatter about this on the M&M for the September Arctic Transatlantic Cruise that I am on.  No one knows anything for sure, just speculation.

Has anyone seen the new Virgin Voyages cruise line, which is starting service from Miami starting the spring of 2020?  They are doing pricing by the cabin, not per passenger, so solos may have a great opportunity to get a single-supplement-free cruise. Limited itinerary so far (Cuba and Yucatan), but they also offer free Wifi, no tips, and non-alcoholic beverages.  I'm going to keep my eye on this.

This looks like a 100% single supplement to me.  If the cabin is $2,000,  solo would pay that amount.  2 people in the cabin would be $1,000 each.

70s Disco Night is tonight (night 7) in vortex

In the past Jewel held the 70's Disco Night in the Centrum, which was always crowded. Let us know if Vortex was crowded.

Could you find out who the Captain and Cruise Director will be on the 3/29 Jewel Transatlantic? Thank you.

  5. I have stayed in a studio interior cabin on the Jewel of the Seas on several occasions, including a 14 night transatlantic cruise and loved it.  I do not stay in my cabin much...perhaps an afternoon snooze and to sleep at night but I found the cabin was fine, roomy enough for one person and very reasonable.

New hotel director on Jewel as of Nov. 5th - word was that he's trying to cut costs.  Noticed other things too during cruises, eg. no wine with consecutive cruiser lunches, no top tier sail away parties.

Hi NJ, hope you and Larry are doing well. Are you stiil "living" on the Jewel?

This is not good news.  I will miss Peter.  He was the best!  I wonder if the change will impact our nightly Diamond and above function in the Safari Club on our upcoming TA?  Last spring's was terrific.
