  1. After reading that @terrierjohn had booked via a TA and found out the cabin number, just checked our 2 early saver bookings made via a TA and on the P&O Mycruises page it shows the cabin no (sadly no upgrade) but over a year to go on the first so still plenty of time.

  2. Just recently we booked with a TA, on an Ealrly Saver, got their discount and just prior to me saying yes to them over the phone Mrs Snibs said do they do BLC. I asked and got some more off (not a lot but still something!). Then checked and realised should have got nothing😀

I doubt that staff shortage is the problem, it's more likely to be IT incompetence that is preventing the booking system from working.

Wouldn’t surprise me, but if it can work on Ventura, they should manage it on the sister ship Azura and the more modern Britannia if they put a bit of effort to do so. Mind as the none app ‘app’ is half arsed so is this.

Sounds like a good deal on for a solo fare.

We're on this one.  Out of interest yesterday morning, I did a dummy booking to see how many cabins were showing as still available on Select fare:

    Inside: 110

    Outside Obs: 1

    Outside: 79

Balcony Std: 31 (Saver showing sold out)

    Balcony Deluxe: 0

    Mini-Suite: 6 (Select only)

    Suite: 1 (Select only)

    Total 228

Works out about 76% of capacity.

Since then, we've had our cabin allocated (we'd booked Early Saver).  I don't know whether it was in the 31 balconies I that morning.

Interesting that Saver fares have re-opened for balconies.

Would guess your cabin would have been included in the 31 if hadn’t been allocated to you at the time of looking, so as to give maximum choice to someone paying select fare.

  5. Had a suite for the first time in Feb on Azura. The only thing we asked of the butler was to book a few restaurants at the start of the week so a concierge would have suited us.After that he would come to the cabin early evening to check on us but we had no requests. He was covering our cabin due to a colleague being ill so am sure was being kept busy having additional suites to attend to.

As others have said we booked the suite for the larger room and balcony (family of four), Enjoyed the perk of breakfast at the Epicurean but other things like the canapés  and CD player are a rather dated concept and not touched.

  6. Don’t think I have ever heard an announcement regarding such an event and have been on a few cruises with my children in kids club (hence would need to be a serious concern). As the opening hours aren’t that long as they shut for lunch and tea I suspect they will just comfort the child until someone comes to collect them.

You are also able to call them to check all is ok with little Timmy.

  7. The pools aren’t covered on Britannia, so likely to be a bit 🥶 chilly, but am sure once  and in and  swimming about you will be ok. And on the positive side will be less popular.

  8. For kids club you don’t get pagers but they will try and track you down by where you last used your card (bar/shop/etc) and also ring your cabin. I would imagine if that doesn’t work a message on the tannoy to go to the kids club depending on how desperate it is.
I think from memory you do get a pager if they are in night nursery though as they don’t want a crying child to wake all the others!

  9. Also I believe if you ask they will provide you with a baby bath (am sure we were provided with one - but that a good few years ago).

    Hi

Yes, Azura and Ventura both have baths in the superior deluxe cabins.  They are really lovely and spacious. The only thing I would say is try to avoid the aft deck ones that are above one of the lounges. They are very noisy until about midnight and if you've got a little one with you, sleeping may prove difficult.  Try for a mid-ships on C or D deck - and have a great holiday.

    Best wishes. Jane x

From memory the superior deluxe cabins on Azura/ Ventura are D and E aft

Richard , from memory it wa s Tender transfer at Sibenik nice and calm in the morning but 3pm in the afternoon it was choppy. Didnt get to see Sibenik centre but loved KRKA.

When we did it last August on Azura, it was a tender at Zablace and then a bus to Sibenik. Didn’t find it choppy but was subject to the exhaust fumes coming in to the tender on the return leg

  11. Previously we have put the labels on prior to checking in the bags at the airport. Make sure they aren’t removed by the check in person though. I believe you have to collect your bags and take them to the bus for the transfer to the ship so you could do put them on then if you prefer. With regard to the luggage allowance, I have checked ours for feb cruise also with Jet2 from Manchester and it states 22kg.

Cant help with the other questions but if the knitting needles were packed in the hold luggage and not taken in the airplane cabin can’t see it being an issue with P&O.

    Enjoy your holiday
