It is but lots of retired people do these cruises for the weather and don't get off the ship, especially when hard of walking. We don't always get off at some islands and it is surprising how many people are around the decks. Just look how many people went on staycation cruises during the height of COVID.

Does Ventura have any craft classes on Caribean cruises? Thinking of booking for 2025.Never cruised with P&O before

Hope to see you onboard! Still awaiting call.. Oh dear, only 30% discount not 35..

I think Adventure is more expensive than discovery?

No, we paid our £180 for 2023 in September 2020.  A copy of the 2023 brochure has been posted on social media, but unfortunately there's nothing that tempts us.

    End of December.

Hope it's not end of December-we're on Discovery Christmas cruise until January 2022..Maybe someone on the ship will tell us about 2023 cruises..?

Have to agree to all of above and rather more sadly.

Head Office is full of Eastern Promise but nothing materialises and details def  gone West

Port Agent in HERAKLION  messed up big time with very late announcement of new rules in shops and showing PDFs of covid vaccinations but the Town Transfer coaches and staff were superb

Find the food in main Dining Room somewhat limited and the always available Sirloin Steak very tough

Breakfast and lunchtime buffet in the grill is pretty well organised and an extremely good selection all around .

The staff though are incredibly helpful especially a clutch of long term staff who truly go the extra mile .

Mask wearing makes speech clarity for the staff amusing at times but pointing to selections helps.

The standard cabin is rather badly designed unless your a singleton as the narrow bit between bed and stiff sliding wardrobe doors means couples need to be very organised indeed to not fall over each other .

Draw storage very limited a common / complaint  i have seen printed elsewhere

Have arranged to see a De luxe cabin which apparently has a Walk in Wardrobe ...more later on that issue

Other half takes big issue with " all inclusive claim" because what drinks are included are def very limited indeed and more like Aldi/Lidl unbranded ???

Included Tour in Malaga was OK, but Malta was questionable and had to keep requesting guide increased volume so those in back 50% of Coach could actually hear and Toilet stop was not for over 2hrs on a 3hr tour ......problematic for some .

Not sure where the 2 posters above suggest Masks are placed at dinner other than on tablecloth

Have heard Jools Club described as Carnivore Restuarant ....personally we found the Fillet Steak and the menu a delight .

The laundries are good once you fathom the little black power button on washing machine but driers results seem a bit haphazard even on Automatic dry .

Thanks for the tip about the black power button on the washing machines. Does one have to pay for the washing machine/dryer please? If so,what coins are going to be needed? Am hoping Christmas cruise isn't going to be cancelled..this will be my first saga cruise,so any more tips much appreciated!

Thanks nosapphire.  Your very comprehensive explanation of screening had not popped up on my computer until after I had asked Glenndale my question (just in case you thought I was ignoring you!).

Yes, thank you for this. I'm more hopeful of being included on Saga insurance now,I only have a stent, copd and type 2 diabetes!

My s-i-l felt queasy on our Fjords cruise with Saga. She went down to reception and they gave her a box of Stugeron, no charge

    It was stugeron we used.

That's good to hear you can get them from reception, but much much better to take them BEFORE  you feel queasy,

I find wearing sea bands 24/7 very good as well as stugeron.Sea bands don't always co-ordinate with every outfit colour wise though..!

A word of waning though you will become hooked on cruises for me a fantastic way to holiday and so looking forward to booking my first Saga cruise when we are vaccinated , we usually book Cunard or P and O but after seeing everything that’s included with Saga we are keen to try them out.

Very pleased with the home pickups as we live a fair way from Southampton. It would cost around £600 return for a private hire..

Hi bjenk we have just had our invoice to be paid on 12 th June  but we are expecting it to be extended like our last several cruises were , and we have never paid a balance on a cruise 20 weeks before sailing , Norman 12 weeks with us and we have been with them for 17 years now , recently over the last year or so 4 weeks before, so always phone them up and queirie this and ask for a extension but hopefully we will get a cancellation from P&O first

Thank you for your help with this. I'm hanging on a bit longer in the hope P&O will cancel..But 12th June

    is much more realistic.

Staysure, Avanti and Free Spirit are all way cheaper than All Clear with the quotes for us and Staysure /Avanti offer 15 months for price of 12 months but of course it could be different for everyone's personal circumstances. I havent decided yet which to take I have got to enquire about cancelling my current annual insurance  policy with LV. It expires on 11th Sept and unfortunately we are thinking about doing a Princess Seacation on 9th Sept so current policy wont cover us as it expires half way through so that is why we are looking now for a new policy.

Have you looked at Travel insurance 4 medical? Have used in the past(before covid)seem

    competitive.

Anyone have ideas on when to buy insurance for P&O Canada cruise sept 2021(could well be cancelled..). Final payment due 12th May. Thinking of getting insurance around July? Any help would be appreciated
