If you are on a 7 day cruise, you get 7 days of vouchers. Boarding day is day 1, so the last day is day 7, which ends at midnight. If the voucher resets at midnight, and you get more drinks, then you are getting 8 days of drinks.
This ends that.
Bingo. There is no other reason why they would make this change.

Perhaps the agents on the phone failed to take into consideration that the age of the child at the time of the calls was different from the age the child would be by the time of the cruise, but that seems like an amateur mistake to make for a customer service rep.

I boarded november 4, the day this went into effect, and I'm still on board. The receipts do NOT tell you how many vouchers you have left, at least not on Vision.

Did you ever find out?

I knew nothing about pineapples - til
last cruise I was wearing a shirt covered in pineapples and a straight couple tried to pick me up …..
As a relatively young solo cruiser this happens to me at least once every cruise, even without any fruity displays. I always just laugh it off 😁

Does anyone know if the choice about masking is up to the individual crew member, or is there some sort of pattern or rule to which crew members need to wear them?
-
I just made several bids as a solo. I understand that if I bid $50 I will have to pay $100 because it is based on double-occupancy, but is this a 1-time $100 or $100 for every single night?

There is a fruit called a plum. If you stick the word cruise in front of it and put a dot and a com after it you get to a very useful site.

Is it even worth sailing on Disney if you don't have kids?

I know that on pretty much all RCI cruises you can book a bus ticket for a ride to the nearest airport on disembarkation day, but does anyone know whether Royal Caribbean also offers buses to Miami International Airport (slightly further away) when the ship arrives at Fort Lauderdale?
If not, what is the best way to get from the port in Fort Lauderdale to MIA?
-
I have a hypothetical question: if I have booked a B2B in the same cabin on the same ship, where the first leg is a TA from Europe to the US, and the second leg is a cruise leaving from and returning to the same port in the US, what would happen if Royal decides to cancel the first leg (ie because they are still not comfortable doing TA's during Covid). Will they allow me to get a refund or an FCC for the second leg as well? Because I would not want to take an extra flight to the US just for that shorter cruise.

Downlining no longer allowed. My understanding is several cruise lines have ceased downlining. Previously you had to ask for permission prior to your sailing and pay a fee.
So you're essentially a prisoner? That's not a very comforting thought.

Anyone else on board? I am on the TA previous to this sailing as well.

Anyone else on board? I will be on the November 16 Southern Caribbean sailing after this one as well.

Do you remember the name of the group or the names of any of the members? Otherwise it might be a long shot 😪

Yes, but they usually schedule them at 11 PM in the Crown Lounge or another noisy place where there are also other things going on at the same time, so it's hard to tell who is there for what, and if you do find other people you have to struggle to be able to hear each other. That's been the unfortunate reality on my last 4 Royal Caribbean cruises.
Do check the message board as well in case someone decides to take the initiative for a meeting at a different time. My last 3 Royal cruises were TAs where they also scheduled lunches, but I don't know if they do that on non-TAs.

Great question! I would be really interested to know this as well. Perhaps it would be wise to bring a copy of your marriage license just in case.

Wish I could have booked a gay cruise this year.
But I hear they aren't very welcoming to folk who are older and have more than 10% body fat. 😕
Considering Vacaya's outrageous prices I'd be surprised if they don't attract mostly the older, more wealthy crowd.

I'm going on a gay cruise myself in 3 weeks. I'm not really worried about it.

The only consistently unsafe island stop I skip is Jamaica. While you’d be safe taking a sponsored excursion and staying in a group, the long history of anti-LGBT activities there are enough for me to stay on ship (and ask for my port fees to be refunded).
I’ve been to the three you listed multiple times and they are all safe. A good resource: https://spartacus.gayguide.travel/gaytravelindex.pdf
Do cruise lines actually refund port fees for a specific port for this reason?

There is a sauna, steam room and showers in both the male and female locker rooms, completely separate. Vision is a great little ship!

I just received an email that our cruise has been canceled 👎

Hi Jared, A friend and I have also booked this, Our crossing last year was canceled so we are very excited.
Cool! I'm pretty sure we have been on a cruise together before because I recognize your photo. Either Vision April 2019 or Rhapsody November 2019 (both TAs).
