6!!!!! I can't wait

We were booked on Royal Caribbean Empress of the Seas when Katrina rolled in. We were suppose to sail from Fort Lauderdale, they moved us to Tampa for embarkation (with royal Caribbean busing anyone who had flights to fort lauderdale over to tampa). We missed Key West and received a $50 obc per person. We had great weather every day with really rocky waves ones night. Family was more worried about us from home than we were being on the ship.

I can't wait to read your review! We sail on 8/15 with our 2 sons. Not our first cruise but it is theirs so I can't wait to see their reaction to it.

Thank you for your responses. We have decided to go with the Hampton in North Charleston and park at the port.

We are sailing out of Charleston on August 15. We want to arrive in Charleston on Saturday the 13th. We are looking for an affordable hotel for us and our 2 children (ages 5 and 6). We do not want to do a cruise and park package because the rates for the hotel are raised for those packages. Does anyone know a hotel that will let you leave your car there for the 5 days with out paying for the package. I know the shuttle won't be included but we can always uber it or take a cab. Thank you in advance.

Carnival Ecstasy....149 days...first cruise with my kids will be 5 and 6 at sailing! So excited to share our love of cruising with them!

I have not received a call from an upgrade fairy, however on my first cruise ever we were presently surprised with a free upgrade. We booked an inside room and when we checked in we had a balcony!!!! Never happened again:(

Hi! We are sailing in 16 days on the gem. I was looking at my vacation summary today and there is an amenity list that was not there yesterday when I booked the UBP. There are 3 things listed chocolate covered straw., AMO50 and Wine02. Anyone know what the last 2 stand for? We didn't order anything else and I know it wasnt listed as a perk when we booked with travelocity. Thank yo for your help. I can't wait to sail!!!

I just got upgraded from an IX to on OK in 8066 so I am hoping it is a good room!:cool:
