For the OP, Finished an Xmas cruise and Filet was on the menu night 1.  Lobster on Xmas eve - along with Veal Scallopini.  I could not decide so I had both.

I'm doing a single/solo christmas cruise this year.  Like you, I am trying to "find my own tradition".  I'll post back when I return in a few weeks and let you know how it went.
