  1. I did this a couple years ago when it was still pretty new I think. I went to the house without a pool. It was great! They were constantly taking drink orders, bringing different appetizers. You chose your dining time, and dining location. Some chose to eat in their beach chairs, some (me included) ate on the terrace/balcony of the house. Food was soooo good. Seriously awesome. It was my first time snorkeling, they had a shallow section of rocks/reef and it was so much fun.

  2. And loved it. There weren't any kids there and they limited it to 30 guests At that time. They mentioned raising the limit in the future but only a few more

We were totally spoiled all day! Brought everything to you! As much as you wanted to drink. Snacks that were yummy. And gave you several choices of meals

They provided snorkel equipment. There is a small grouping of rock/coral to snorkel at. It was great for a beginner like me. No toys. Just total relaxation

One of the ladies watched in the kitchen while her meal was being prepared

We had a couple of ladies that kept ordering shots for the whole group. They definately got their money's worth

  3. I have been selected for a few jury's. the last time the county sheriff deputies went around and picked up the people that didn't show up for duty. It was so funny watching them brought it. Bed head, pouty, hungover, lol.

I think I have been selected for every jury I have been called for, except maybe once. I don't know how to make them pass me over.

  4. I booked my first ever solo cruise. Im a mid40's, married, mom to 3 beautiful girls. Im very excited to try this new adventure.

I've been reading the solo boards for a while now and thank you so much for all the information.

I feel pretty comfortable with my decision, just a little nervous about dining, which seems to be a common theme.

  5. Read the whole description, ask questions, ask questions of other cruisers. I subscribe to live and learn. You lost an hour of your time, next time you won't. I do a lot of the tours when I am on a new ship, grab a drink and enjoy, it's a great way to learn about the ship.

The other so called scam is the shopping talks. Sometimes I go, sometimes I don't. My girls like to walk around port and get all the "free" stuff. You know, bracelets, charms, del sole rings, etc. It's really not worth much if anything but the girls have fun and if we don't have an excursion booked who cares. Or we make a quick trip when we return from an excursion. kind of like a scavenger hunt.

  6. Im sorry your experience with the spa drawing was bad. On the Conquest during spring break they also did a $500 drawing. It ended up being about five drawings and I won the biggest one. it was for a specific service or I could trade it in for $140 towards a different service, which is what I did. It was awesome! I did the hot bamboo massage for 50 minutes. I think I had to chip in 20 bucks. while I wouldn't have paid 160 dollars for the service, at 20 it was fabulous! Of course they do try to sell you products, but a polite no is all it takes.
