Just off the NCL Epic and they had a viewing room that was open while in port. I believe it was also open during sea days.

What will they do for the cruises that depart San Juan and come back 7 days later. Will they require a test for disembarking?

Hoping for a speedy recovery. Kind of strange they just drop you off at the hotel and tell you to go inside.
Don’t really understand the testing negative part either. Some people can test positive for weeks or even months possibly though they are not contagious after a certain amount of days.

What should you do if your traveling with friends and have different check in times? Anyone have any experience with this?

Just to be certain if our cruise embarks late Sunday we can get a PCR test done on Wednesday to meet the 96 hour pre test? That is how I am reading it.
Has anyone used the rapid ID Now test offered by Walgreens? Anyone know if that is accepted by NCL? Reading online it says it is better than an Antigen test, but not as good as a PCR.

Glad you received your information. 40 days out and still no flight info yet! Chatted a rep yesterday and they said there was nothing confirmed yet. I did notice today they changed the general routing to port.

Checked my email and nothing yet. I’ll keep my eyes open.

Looking on the forum it seems 45 days is the date to get flight details. Today we are on day 45 and all I see in our account are flights going to our embarkation port and the cites we will be flying to. No details on times or returning flights are displayed.
Any idea on we can expect all the details and flight numbers?

It appears that NCL has changed the policy on the Sail Safe documentation. On the FAQ they have updated the language to say they recommend a PCR test up to 96 hours before sailing. This has changed from 72 hours. An antigen test is acceptable if a PCR is not readily accessible.

I would believe that the medically supervised BinaxNow test would be accepted since it is an antigen test which NCL is requiring. We may end up doing that since it appears that the CVS and Walgreens near us do not seem to have many available tests these days and worried about timing and getting results before we leave the airport.
Are most people going to Walgreen's and CVS for their testing? Anyone know if the Walgreen's Rapid ID NOW tests would be able to be used for the 72 hour COVID test? It looks like a PCR test.

^I thought if you tested positive prior to sailing NCL would reimburse you for the cruise fare either through FCC or cash refund. Didn't know that you would be charged a 50% cancellation fee?

The show was okay. Nothing to brag about. Some of the skits were good while others were very weird and didn't make since. One part of the show would not be suitable for young kids. Don't think it was worth the $30.

I may be confused on this, but currently we have two cruises booked in 2021, but unsure what date will work with our schedule. I was planning as the time got closer to figure out which cruise we would be able to do and apply our 2 CruiseNext deposits on the date that works with our schedule and cancel the other cruise. This decision would be made at least 6 months before the cruise and used on a balcony room.
If I am reading this right I would not be able to apply these deposits on the cruise as it would be an existing reservation as they can only be used on new reservations? I was hoping if we booked now we could lock in rates today and decide which dates would work as time got closer. Any experience with this?
Passport missing… can I board?

This brings back bad memories for
myself. In 2019 for our honeymoon we flew into Miami Friday night for our Sunday cruise. When we got dropped off at our hotel by the Uber I left my bag in the car that held my money and passport. I did not realize this until 3 hours later and by the time i got ahold of the Uber driver the bag as a goner.
I did not sleep that night and when I called NCL Saturday morning when they opened they said that I would need a birth certificate with the raised seal for guaranteed boarding. A copy could work, but no guarantee .
Thankfully my wife was quick to call Southwest Airlines to see if we could get it on a flight that day and they said that they could do that as long as it could get to the airport in the next 2 hours. Called my parents in a panic and told them to get to my house to pick up the birth certificate (which thankfully I knew where it was) and Head to the St Louis airport. They were able to take it to the cargo area and send it on a plane to Ft Lauderdale where we picked it around 430 that day up for 90 bucks.
To say I was stressed was an understatement. I was so happy to get on the ship and get a drink. Thankfully my wife had her passport in her own bag and they were not together. Now the new rule is that I do not hold any important documents while traveling.
Hope the OP was able to find a resolution.
