  1. Yes, we were hoping to be able to use them all but no luck. Their "free" cruises are not good cruises. They have been sending us free ones for years but never seem to interest us. We made use of the 2 certificates we were able to use.

  2. RCCL.... We are the same (wife)prime &  me choice. Just did a B2B 9 day and 5 day. We tried to use all 4 certificates (2 of mine and 2 wifes) from both cruises to book a new one... no luck. We were only able to use the 2 from 1 cruise...not both. It is BS as far as I'm concerned.

  3. Every cruise before about 2005 when they started eliminating things like the "midnight buffet". Cruising pre 2005 was a pleasure, you were treated great, your server knew everyones name at the table before you sat down. It was a great luxury experience. Today it is herding cattle, thats why we stay with the smaller ships. My first cruise was Celebrity Zenith 1992.... nothing has matched it since.

  4. IMHO... cruises depend on many things.... Length, Time of year, Cruise line, Itinerary and Size of ship. Depends on what you are looking for? If you are looking for a party... take a short Carnival Cruise on a big ship. Longer cruises on smaller ships to exotic places are older & quieter. Big ships have all the bells and whistles (ice rinks, go cart tracks etc) hold 6,000 and you are like sardines. All depends on what you like.

  5. So, I've sailed all 3... mostly RCCL. To me Celebrity is a touch more upscale from RCCL & NCL. RCCL is the most of the 3 geared more to family & kids. Was just on NCL Spirit Hawaiian Islands to French Polynesia.... ship was definitely adult oriented. Much depends on 1) length of cruise... longer=(older cruisers) less kids, 2) time of year (holiday) when kids are out of school, 3) Itinerary, 4) BIG ONE... Size of ship.. The new mega ships (which I personally hate) are geared to family and have EVERYTHING imaginable on board from go cart tracks to ice rinks and packed in like sardines. I personally prefer the ships under 100,000 tonnage. If I compared same size ship, same cruises, same time.... I would take Celebrity. It all depends on what you are looking for!!! We are mid 60's and tend to shy away from kids, big ships with all the bells and whistles and like 10plus day cruises. We just want quality service. As I started, we cruise mostly RCCL but pick and choose carefully what we want. Just my opinion here,  good luck!!

  6. I am on the Enchantment Nov.13th out of Baltimore, but when I try to look for the cruise on this site in "Find a Cruise"  it doesn't come up. Baltimore port doesn't come up and only up to 9 day cruises come up?? I am hoping it goes #1 and #2 that the itinerary is not changed. Our roll call is still going, but am hoping they start putting the information out and opening things up soon.

  7. Question for anyone who's been on the Sunshine. I like to gamble but hate smoke. I've seen reviews that complain about the smoke in the casino. Does anyone know if they are allowed to smoke in the casino on this ship or even around the ship in general?? Thanks ahead of time. classmates are looking at a 40th reunion cruise on Sunshine.

  9. Ok. I didn't have bypass, but had a bout with bad lymph nodes in my neck. After surgery Dec.1 followed by chemo/radiation I've lost 43lbs :) . I'm down to HS weight. tough way to do it, but my feeding tube comes out this Friday yeah! Am looking so forward to the cruise we just booked for next April. Although my wife wants me to put some weight back on, I'm hoping I keep it off but just build some muscle back. I feel good the weight is off no matter what. Jim

  10. Hi all...just wanted to put my 2 cents in. My wife and I rented from Oleander cycle this passed week. Great experience and easy. I think the only way to go....BUT, as said the passing and the riding your tail can be scary. I felt as though the taxi drivers were purposely trying to force you to speed beyond your capabilities. They cut you off and I felt as though they were trying to make us wreck(maybe they feel they lost a fare). And there are always wrecks. My wife and I both felt as though the people of Bermuda are pissed that the port is at dockyard (a long way on narrow roads) from anything worthwhile. It is a long ride. The attitudes of the locals kept us from renting more than 1 day. Not much in Dock Yard to do and Hamilton is dead, but it is worth the scooter ride to find a beach not jammed with hundreds from the ship. Stay safe and ride at your own pace.

  11. :) Just booked bermuda/July and realized we havent been on a cruise in 6 years. Wife and I alawys used cruise as a way to diet and shape-up. I used to be able to pack in 1 day haveing nice clothes ready to go. Living in the north those spring cruises would get us in shape for summer......well 6 years have past and I havent had that pre-cruise diet & excersize ritual:( Life got alittle buisy and now my nice clothes all packet away DON'T FIT:eek: I've got till July! I do miss the pre-cruise winter work-out ritual!:D
