I have cruised both lines and much prefer Carnival over NCL. The food is better on Carnival and Carnival has a very good kids program.

Belinda and I will be boarding the Royal Princess in South Hampton on July 20, 2015 for a 12 night cruise. How do we make a request to have dinner at the Captain's Table one evening. We are Platinum with Princess if that makes a difference.
We were on the Celebrity Summit last October and received an invitation to have dinner at the Captain's Table and really enjoyed the experience. We did not request this invitation, but we did accept the invitation and had a great time.
Thanks,
Terry

I will be boarding the Elation on July 31, this will be my first time on this class of ship. Really looking forward to it.

I was on the Oasis of the Seas in August and October of 2013. You will have a great time on this ship, but you should make you show reservations before boarding ship. Do Not Miss the Ice Skating Show, I believe it is called Frozen in Time. All of the shows on the oasis are very good but you will see some very amazing things in the ice show.

Thanks for a great review and photos. I have cruised Alaska twice and you have made me consider doing it again. Skagway is my favorite town in Alaska. Victoria is a great place also.
Thanks.

I will be on the Island Princess January 8, 2012 for the 10 Day Panama Canal Cruise. There will be a group of approximately 55 singles on this cruise.

I will be on the Allure of the Seas on Oct. 30, 2011

I will be taking my 8th hosted singles cruise on May 22, 2010. Yes there are a some people that like to drink, but there are also plenty of people who do not care to drink. I have met a lot of fun and interesting people on these singles cruises. If you are single I would recommend that you give a hosted singles cruise a try. You might be surprised at how well you will fit in.

Carol is correct . . . however . . . the amenities you're paying for include group activities on the ship -- games, cocktail parties, etc., the "single-mingle" dining (where you do not have to sit at your assigned table every night, you are free to sit anywhere within the group's designated tables) and a large group of fellow single people (which you would be hard-pressed to find if you sailed solo). The singles cruise agencies also organize their own shore excursions (at an additional cost) for the singles group only so you don't have to go on excursions with the couples and families from the ship. In my mind, it's worth the extra money.
Christine
Christine you are correct. I am getting ready for my sixth singles cruise. I will be boarding the Splendour of the Seas in Venice, Italy on Sept. 19.
The fun and interesting people that I have met on these singles cruises far outweigh the additional cost.
If you have never experienced a singles cruise you really cannot understand the value of cruising with a lot of fun loving singles.

It may cost a little more to go with a hosted singles group, but it is money very well spent in my opinion. Please give it a try, then see for yourself if it was worth the extra money. I believe that you will meet a lot of interesting singles and that you will have a very good time.

I think that you are correct. There are two that are very big. I will be taking my sixth singles cruise on one, in Sept. 2009. It is a Mediterranean Cruise. I have never cruised with the other, but have heard good things about them. Just book a cruise with one and give it a try, I believe that you will have a great time.

Oasis would be by recommendation for you, yes it will cost a bit more, but you will get so much more out of this ship. There is so much space on this ship that you will not feel crowded. The shows are great, but do not miss the Ice Skating Show. Enjoy, it is well worth the additional money.
