Some people and their comments Really? I have not been on a 5 day cruise in 8 years except the last one in Oct. with my son and the one coming up in June 2019. The only reason we are doing that 5 day is because our friends couldn't afford a longer one and this will be there first cruise. I just put it out for others to see if they did not know about it. Lobster is not my concern when cruising but it is something THEY where looking forward to as I put in my starting thread.

Was on a cruise with my son in Oct. for a 5 day and found out on Formal night they no longer have Lobster on the menu for 5 day cruise only. You can buy it but not offered. This is messed up, we are cruising in June with a couple that have never been on a cruise and this was one of the things they where excited about, then I had to tell them it's not offered no more. Are they really that desperate for money that they have to take a small luxury away from people that would not normally be able to afford it after all the money that people pay for the cruise. Just sayin'

My son and I will be going on another Father/ son (15) cruise in October on the Fantasy. We have not been on her yet, but was looking for a BB court on the deck plans but did not see one. Can anyone tell if they have one or not.
Thanks in advance

This is not always true, but mostly. The last cruise we where on we had asked and surprisingly went from a Lido deck interior to a Lido deck balcony. So yes it can happen, but very very rare, so it does not hurt to ask.

I will stop cruising if all cruise ships cease to exist..

I know for the Caribbean it is different as per US customs regulations on there web site.
What can I bring back from the Caribbean?
As a general rule, travelers to Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI) countries are allowed a $800 duty-free exemption on their return to the U.S. You may include two liters of alcoholic beverages with this $800 exemption, as long as one of the liters was produced in one of the CBI countries.
The duty exemption for travelers returning from the U.S. Virgin Islands is $1,600. You may include 1,000 cigarettes as part of this exemption, but at least 800 of them must have been acquired in the U.S. Virgin Islands (keep your receipt). You may include five liters of alcoholic beverages in your duty-free exemption, but one of them must be a product of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or American Samoa.

We are booked on our 9th cruise on the Sunshine April 15th for an 8 day cruise. My Niece will be getting married in St. Kitts and there are quit a few of us going. My sister-n-law and her husband will be going and my son and myself. My wife will not be joining us this time. This was a gift for Christmas for my son and we are both excited and have kept this a big secret again. I say again because we tried to surprise our sister-n-law last June, but she caught us as soon as we walked out onto the Lido deck. Our Niece knows we are going and is keeping this from her mom so we can work together to try and make it work the way we want it to this time. What we are wanting to do is to stay hidden until Dinner at 6:00 so we can just walk in and see the look on there faces. Any helpful ideas that we can incorporate into our plan to surprise her? Again we will be in contact with our Niece until we get out to the open waters then will have to stop the texting so we don't get charged.
Thanks for any ideas you may have that will help, we are so excited to do this and just pray it works out right.
HAPPY SAILING TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD FuFu DRINK !

I'm sure this question is on here somewhere, but I am looking for the best way to get from Port Canaveral to Orlando for a 2:00 PM flight. We will be getting off of the Carnival Sunshine. I know they have the shuttles, but can they get us there by 12:00 PM or is there a cheaper or other reasonable way to get there. We will be getting back into port on Sun. April 23rd
Thank you for your help in advance

Been there many time and have never had any issues..

A few weeks ago there were reports that stops in Cozumel and or Grand cayman were cut short due to propulsion problems. I am glad to hear that is not the case, since we will be boarding on Sunday!
Poohbear, we will also be getting on this Sunday My wife and I and our 13 y/o son. Coming from Indianapolis. Have a great Cruise, we will !!

We have been cruising for over 8 years now and I will tell you that we don't go for the FuFu factor. We go to relax and just go with the flow. If you are worried about turn down servise and free cards then I feel sorry for you. We go to experience the memories and time spent with each other. The old saying goes the worst day on a cruise beats the beat day at work.

I hope it stays with the old menu, the American menu is nothing to right home about, all though it is good I like the original much better..

I don't know all the pros and cons could be, but I'll be able to answer your question after February.
Reason why I picked the Lido is because my DH is "directionally challenged" - I figured if the pools and buffets were all on the same deck as our room, he might not get lost.....and if he wanted to find me he would just have to head out to one of the pools. :p
I will try to remember to let you know how it went.
Thank you and I hope that works out for ya, but sounds like you can't go wrong with your plan.. Good luck.

We have an interior on the Carnival Dream June of next year on the Lido deck. Has anyone ever had a cabin on this deck that maybe able to let me know the pros and cons if there are any. We may switch to a balcony down the road if they have a great sale as it gets closer, but as of now they only have 12 balcony's left on the lido deck for that cruise.
Thanks in advance.

When were you on the Celebration? Our 1st cruise was on the Celebration in 1988.
Ours was in 2007.. Loved that ship.. One of the smallest, but one of the best..

We got the same sort of feeling after our recent Splendor cruise. Nothing really so wrong as to be able to put a finger on, just a general feeling of a lackluster cruise.
Maybe if we had more like it, we could save some money by not getting that YEARNING to book a cruise vacation every year;).
Exactly....

She was our first ship in 2007 and was well taken care of..
NO Lobster on 5 day.

First elegant night has nothing to do with the speed and if you have ever done the behind the scene tour you would see how everything is done in the Gally. Second did you not read my post? I don't do 5 day cruises only doing it this time because our friends could not afford a longer one, this is their first cruise. I like Lobster, but I can do with or without it.
