  1. Heavy cigar smoker, just sailed on the Escape last week.

The cigar lounge is really great.

While I echo the sentiment that there are a lot of cigarette smokers there, I met some really great people who were in there to smoke cigarettes. It adds to the social vibe.

I think for a room the size it is (appx 400sq ft.) it's fairly well ventilated.. depending on the amount of smokers, you could either stink or barely smell more than you would if you smoked alone outdoors. You should wear a designated smoking jacket/ shirt if you plan on sitting for an hour anyhow.

I really loved that it has two huge windows that face the deck/ ocean.

There is bar service from Tobacco Road and they have port and armagnac for sale at the $9.95/glass price with good pours.

Ashtrays emptied frequently. Very clean and comfortable with about 16 seats to be had, all plush. No TVs, which is great. A nice place to meet people, read a book or even watch the ocean.

I would definitely recommend you BRING YOUR OWN, as there is no cutting fee and the selection there is blah and expensive. If you've left home without, Miami has Deco Drive Cigars, Orlando has Corona Cigar Company, NY has Nat Sherman and Davidoff.

With regard to the other designated smoking areas  [SpiceH20 (Port side bar only), the pool bar on 17, Haven smoking area on 19, and the Casino smoking area]; you are technically NOT permitted to smoke cigars in ANY of them. Though I was only told to put mine out in the Casino (twice) and SpiceH20 on a quiet night (once), and tried everywhere.

That said, if you respect your cigar, you wouldn't want the wind smoking it for you anyway, so the Cigar Lounge at Tobacco Road is the move; unless in port/ stationary on a still night.

    Happy smokes and sails!
