. For what it's worth I had printed their previous web pages that stated they would cover the covid test on disembarkation, especially since we have EZ-AIR to US. I even have name of Princess rep from months ago confirming

You can buy a 3 video test kits for $100 and take care of it yourself in your stateroom.  What's your time worth?

Now I'm curious again.  Viking Star is now headed to Reykjavik, currently in the vicinity of the Shetland Islands.  She's expected to be in Reykjavik on Tuesday (27th) according to Marine Traffic.  Is she just keeping all the moveable parts on the ship moving, ferrying more packages, or what?

    Super interesting... will be following....

This has just been posted on the Live Thread from Viking.

    https://docs.vikingcruises.com/pdf/14-210721-RestartPreCruiseRequirement-Iceland-US-UK FINAL.pdf

It states that we need a PCR test to travel.

This does not accord with what the Iceland.is site states from the Icelandic Authorities which says that an antigen test is acceptable.

The following quote is a straight copy from the Iceland.is site

    https://island.is/en/p/entry

NOTE: From 27 July 2021 vaccinated passengers (and those with a prior infection) born in 2004 or earlier, must present a negative PCR or antigen test (not older than 72 hours) prior to boarding a vessel to Iceland.

I have just booked my supervised Lateral Flow (Antigen) test for my 31 July departure and now I am unsure of what is correct.  Will British Airways allow me on the plane? Will the Icelandic Authorities allow me into the country?

Is this just Viking being over cautious?

Hopefully we can find out the answers over the coming day or two.

Definitively looks like a discrepancy.  Did you reach out to Viking?

According to MarineTraffic Viking Star is enroute from Gibraltar to Seydisfjordur Iceland, ETA July 21 at 15:00.

Viking Sky should be able to see Star in Seydisfjordur on Wednesday!

I just checked the Port Web site and indeed it is supposed to be there for 4 days... Interesting.  http://seydisfjordurport.is/cruise-ships/

  5. Question:  We booked direct with RCCL in a WS GTY (junior suite + guarantee).  Days later, received Royal Up invite to bid, and put in a fairly low offer for a GS. Offer has been sitting for weeks.  This morning, received cruise documents via email (and can see online) that we are assigned a GS.  No charges/emails from Royal Up. To me this appears unrelated to Royal Up.   When I go to my offer page, I am able to cancel it.  Is this normal WS GTY assignment working (unrelated to Royal Up) or do you think it's a glitch?
