Luggage Tags are normally available for download around 7 weeks before the cruise.

You can arrange to have preprinted luggage tags mailed to you by opting to pay $35 for printed cruise documents.

We leave tomorrow on Mariner.  I had printed our packet and luggage tags but was unable to print them in color.  I called a few days ago to see if we could get them printed there and they said yes but will they charge us?  Also do I need the packet that they sent us?  I checked in on the app and have our passes to show on my phone.  Any help with this is greatly appreciated!  I left that packet at work and wondering if I should stop in there and grab it before we leave for the airport.

I’m getting on Mariner on Monday, as well.

May I ask when you learned that Coco Cay was cancelled? As of today, it still shows on my itenerary. The whole reason we decided to try RC again, and take this cruise, was the “private island”. I’ll be severely disappointed  if it’s cancelled.

I was told by RC a few days ago that we were going to Cococay.  I believe no one was there this last week due to some construction.  I am watching to see if the weekend trip goes there.  I am pretty sure from what I have read that we will be able to get off on the new pier and won't need to tender.  I hope that's true!  3 more days!

I disembarked Mariner this morning. Here’s a quick overview:

    The Good

Specialty dining at Jaime’s and Chops was great. They have good dining deals the day you get on.

We had a balcony with a connecting interior on Deck 9. Everything was in good shape in both cabins

My kids didn’t participate in a lot of Teen club activities, but were able to do SkyPad and FlowRider during protected teen club time.

Entertainer in the British Pub is amazing!! I think he enjoyed the energy of the college kids on board. Ice show was great as well. The Quest was extra funny with the large college group (more on them later)

Embarkation and debarkation (plus parking) a breeze at Miami’s new Terminal A. We lined up for self walk off at 6:15 and we’re driving out at 7:15, 20 mins after we got off the ship

    Less Good:

Windjammer food was repetitive. Main dining room 2/4 nights was underwhelming. Apps and desserts good but mains meh.

Missing Cococay was a bummer. But we were well compensated with refundable OBC. Paid for our tips, internet and specialty dining.

    Good or Bad

This cruise was a partial charter for Spring Break Party Cruise. Over 1000 college spring breakers on board. They were noisy, they were drinking and having fun. I personally thought they brought great energy to the ship. They were respectful and I spoke to several who were surprised to know the other passengers had no clue they would be cruising with this group. They crowded the pool bar, but would often defer to me when it was their turn first. I’d do it again in a heartbeat, but others will feel differently and Royal should at least warn people so they can decide whether they want themselves or their children to be exposed to a large group of college kids.

Happy to to answer any questions!

We are on this ship on Monday.  I have been debating on booking lunch at Jamie's on the first day.  Were those discounted on the day of sailing?  Of course it may depend on if they have openings but maybe we will take our chance and see if we can get it a little cheaper.  I hear we may make it to Cococay!  Thanks for the tips!  Looking forward to our first cruise in 24 years...

I am sailing on the mariner of the seas march 18-22nd and there is some some pretty bad weather in the forecast. What happens when there is bad weather does the captain sail around the storms???

We are on the same trip and I have been watching the extended forecast for Miami and Nassau.  It literally changes every day.  I sure hope we don't get a full day of rain.  It seems unlikely but who knows!  5 more days!!

We're on Mariner at the end of this week and scheduled to stop in Cocoa Cay on Saturday the 16th.  I still haven't received an email stating we won't be stopping in Cocoa Cay.  Crossing my fingers and holding my breath. 🤞

We are on that next sailing on the 18th so I'm anxious to see if Mariner docks At Cocoa Cay!  I hope so!!

  6. The KEY is now available on our Cruise Planner for Mariner of the Seas or $19.99.  We are on a 4 night cruise, leaving in a few weeks.  For the two of us it's $159.92.  If I cancel the internet I got for one device, it's down to $99.  Still not sure if it's worth it.  We haven't been on a cruise in almost 25 years so it's hard to know if any of these perks will even matter to us....

  7. Thanks for the review.  We will be on the Mariner for a 4-night cruise in a few weeks.  Our last cruise was our honeymoon 25 years ago on a RCCL ship.  I had no idea what ship to choose but this worked with our schedule and flights to Miami.  So far I'm happy with the reviews and we are really looking forward to it!  I have not seen many positive posts about Nassau.  Many people don't seem to like it.  We found an all day excursion to Rose Island through a private company that got great reviews so we're hoping that this is a nice relaxing day and we can avoid the main parts of Nassau.

Thanks again for all of the info.  Trying to soak it all in before we go!

  8. We are sailing on the Mariner of the Seas on March 18th.  I am not super clear about how dining works.  I see that you can pay for specialty dining but otherwise is it just My Time Dining?  I have some seen some posts about traditional dining.  I don't see an option for that.   And then one more thing, what is the dress code for dining?  Are there still formal nights?  We haven't cruised in 25 years.  Thanks!
