Came back from our TA cruise 4 lbs lighter. Just watched the carbs and tried to do a meat & protein day every 5th day. It worked.
-
Two weeks until our cruise and I am still loving this diet. I have tried other types of low carb diets but the Dukan has been the best. How is everyone else doing? Joan

I had trouble staying on the diet the last couple of weeks and gained 2 lbs, so I went back on the attack phase and lost 4 lbs the first day. I love this diet.

SkiRacer, I know what you mean about the munchies... on protein days, it's kind of akward to just pick up a hunk of chicken and snack on it. LOL
I made some of the oat bran muffins, but add a healthy bit of cinnamon and a little cocoa powder (unsweet, fat free baking cocoa). I heat those up and eat them during my snack time, so it feels like I am able to munch on something, rather than gnawing on meat or fish all the time.
For an evening snack, I sometimes take a plain greek yogurt and add a little bit of the powdered sugar-free drink mix, something similar to crystal-lite. For me, I want the feeling of some type of dessert.
I'd LOVE to hear some ideas you have too.
I have been adding cinnamon but I hadn't thought of cocoa powder. Great idea.
I like buying the cooked whole chicken in the deli area at the market. It has a different taste than when I cook chicken.

The leaves are changing, fall is in the air, is anyone else having trouble staying on the diet? I do great all day, then when the night gets cool and the heater comes on, I get the munchies. Any suggestions?

A stone is 14 lbs.

PurpleLady57, your up coming cruise sounds wonderful also. Our cruise goes to Cartegene, Spain also. When you get back, could you let me know what you did there? We are trying to decide what to do at that port, weather to take a tour or just see things on our own. Joan
-
Purplelady 57, 4 stone that is great. I have lost 2.5 stone. We leave for Rome and then on a TA cruise Nov.6. So I would like to lose 1.5 stone more before we leave.
-
I know what you mean about falling off the wagon. Our nights are turning cool so I am in the mood to bake. Not just dukan muffins. Maybe we can all keep each other on the straight and narrow. Taking a TA cruise in Nov. would like to get back on the weight loss before then. Joan
-
Susan, Glad to know that you didn't gain it back. Thanks for the info. Joan

We had company the last few days so I was off the diet and didn't gain which I am very pleased about. I plan to do the attack phase on Monday I am hoping to have attack phase weight loss. Joan

I agree with lovepea, don't give up. I am not as strict with the diet as I was the first 2 months but the numbers are still going down. I haven't been this low in a decade or two.
I hope to lose another 10lbs before our Nov. cruise. I would like to lose 30 but I don't think that will happen.
-
lovepea, 12.6 in just 2 weeks that is great! Congrats!!
-
Congrats Punki ! How much have you lost so far?
-
Punki, Hope you are fleeing better.
I went out for Itallian last night and had chicken with penne (not a large portion) and still lost 1/2 lb. I am loving this diet. Park City has so many great restaurants my husband is glad that I can go out and feel better about going off the diet for a meal now and then.
-
lovepea, are you walking the 30min? Also, that is a lot of liquid. If I drank that much I would never be able to leave the bathroom.
-
I just went to the web page mydukandiet.com and it said "One important habit that you need to establish from day one is proper water intake. Avoiding dehydration and overworking your kidneys is crucial on a high protein diet like this. Be sure to drink over 1.5 litres per day"
-
I thought he meant at least 1.5 liters. Did you read something that said just 1.5 liters?
Joan

Lovepea, you will start to see a change soon. 9.6 lbs that is great. I do the P+V every other day also. To remember I do Ps on odd days, that way there or 2 odd days and it helps even more. Joan

Hi everyone, my computer is finally fixed so I am back on line. Well I have been on the diet for 3 months this coming Sat. and I have lost just under 30 lbs.
As for where to find the oat bran, I find it near the hot cereals. usually in a bag.
-
Litewait, He wrote in the book if that during the Attack phase you might feel tired or get a headache, so that is why you only walk 20 min. Be sure and drink your water. Joan
-
Litewait, You should be able to make your weight. I think the key to this diet is the oat bran, the protein and walking. I lost 17 lbs the first month. But I do have a lot more than you to lose.
Hurray Colleyberry!!! We started the same day and have lost the same amount. So for the Doubting Thomas's out there this diet works.
-
I gained a pound, but now I have my special needs brother with me for a couple of weeks. He is skinny and eats 24/7. So cooking and fixing food for him is going to be even more difficult. I am going to try staying an the attack phase as much as possible while he is here. How is everyone else doing?

I am going to Calif. for a week, wish me luck on sticking to the diet. One party and friends to visit, which means lunch out.
I am making a week worth of muffins to freeze and have for breakfast.
Stick to the diet and keep on walking girls, talk to you next week. Joan

We would like to stay at a motel or hotel that has a parking plan in Vancouver. We are taking a 14 day cruise out and back to Vancouver. Thanks, Joan
