  1. SkiRacer, I know what you mean about the munchies... on protein days, it's kind of akward to just pick up a hunk of chicken and snack on it. LOL

I made some of the oat bran muffins, but add a healthy bit of cinnamon and a little cocoa powder (unsweet, fat free baking cocoa). I heat those up and eat them during my snack time, so it feels like I am able to munch on something, rather than gnawing on meat or fish all the time.

For an evening snack, I sometimes take a plain greek yogurt and add a little bit of the powdered sugar-free drink mix, something similar to crystal-lite. For me, I want the feeling of some type of dessert.

I'd LOVE to hear some ideas you have too.

I have been adding cinnamon but I hadn't thought of cocoa powder. Great idea.

I like buying the cooked whole chicken in the deli area at the market. It has a different taste than when I cook chicken.

  2. I know what you mean about falling off the wagon. Our nights are turning cool so I am in the mood to bake. Not just dukan muffins. Maybe we can all keep each other on the straight and narrow. Taking a TA cruise in Nov. would like to get back on the weight loss before then. Joan

  3. I agree with lovepea, don't give up. I am not as strict with the diet as I was the first 2 months but the numbers are still going down. I haven't been this low in a decade or two.

I hope to lose another 10lbs before our Nov. cruise. I would like to lose 30 but I don't think that will happen.

  4. Punki, Hope you are fleeing better.

I went out for Itallian last night and had chicken with penne (not a large portion) and still lost 1/2 lb. I am loving this diet. Park City has so many great restaurants my husband is glad that I can go out and feel better about going off the diet for a meal now and then.

  5. I just went to the web page mydukandiet.com and it said "One important habit that you need to establish from day one is proper water intake. Avoiding dehydration and overworking your kidneys is crucial on a high protein diet like this. Be sure to drink over 1.5 litres per day"

  6. Litewait, You should be able to make your weight. I think the key to this diet is the oat bran, the protein and walking. I lost 17 lbs the first month. But I do have a lot more than you to lose.

Hurray Colleyberry!!! We started the same day and have lost the same amount. So for the Doubting Thomas's out there this diet works.

  7. I gained a pound, but now I have my special needs brother with me for a couple of weeks. He is skinny and eats 24/7. So cooking and fixing food for him is going to be even more difficult. I am going to try staying an the attack phase as much as possible while he is here. How is everyone else doing?

  8. I am going to Calif. for a week, wish me luck on sticking to the diet. One party and friends to visit, which means lunch out.

I am making a week worth of muffins to freeze and have for breakfast.

Stick to the diet and keep on walking girls, talk to you next week. Joan
