Enjoy your TA, we took the same cruise on the Edge in 2019 except for the destinations after the Azores. We had wonderful time. You will gain one hour on most of the nights an easy way to not get jet lag
We are on the Silhouette May 24 from Amsterdam and are looking forward to your posts.
We are also on the Silhouette May 24 from Amsterdam

Oh, so if you find a better deal then Celebrity will allow changes to another airline even ? This seems perfect as we only booked it once with RC and we were not impressed. RC picked the airline and would only book Economy. We had to contact the airline directly to upgrade and pay more. The hotel they offered in Barcelona was nice but we waited in the lobby for pickup for over 2 hours before the transport arrived for about 35 of us.
On air by Celebrity I was able to choose whatever airline I wanted and also business class
no if I find a better deal before final payment I just cancel the FBC

It's nice to hear that I can book the airfare and Celebrity will make it right if something goes awry. We will be flying in a few days early so will have plenty of a buffer.
I also liked not having to pay until final payment,I kept my eye on flights in case I found a better deal

We have a flight in 2025 from U.S. to Amsterdam and will be booking our flights thru Celebrity for the first time. When I booked the cruise I was told that I can book our flight 300-320 days out from the cruise. Once the flight is booked how responsive has your experience been if you have to call with more flight questions ? If you run into a problem while traveling do you contact Celebrity and is there a hassle to reach them ?
We did flights by celebrity pre COVID and had some issues with a short layover which caused us to miss our connecting flight, but as promised we were booked on a new flight and had our hotel covered.
Recently, we booked with FBC and had to cancel our trip at the last minute due to a medical emergency,we received our money back minus the $200 within 30 days.

We are leaving on the Reflection on September 21 Barcelona to Barcelona, schools will be back in session so less kids.
Enjoying your review

I have waited at immigration for a while that would be the only issue

We always fly in 3 days early for an international cruise, as we live in Florida we drive to the port.

I did the Edge in Mediterranean in October, loved everything about it,food was fabulous, loved the ship
Did the Apex in the Caribbean in March was disappointed in the food, loved the ship,
Doing the Reflection in September French and Italian Rivera ..

My daughters and their husbands travel with us to Europe as often as I invite them.
we did a large family trip to Ireland 6 years ago,
4 years ago we did a Greek cruise as what we refer to as the recovery cruise.
my youngest DD was given a kidney from her sister

I had to cancel a cruise as my daughter started dialysis after a failed kidney transplant
Unfortunately, I did not take the insurance, first time ever..
I lost every penny, and this was a cruise rescheduled twice due to Covid
Painful lesson learned
Good Luck and I hope a healthy outcome

I did almost the same itinerary last October on the Edge, it was such a wonderful trip, I’m looking forward to experiencing it again through your review
I also live in Florida, Port St Lucie

We were on the Apex last week as well and the menu is definitely cut back, no prime rib, no lamb, and an extra charge for an additional lobster
very disappointing

I have been at Eden on both the Edge and Alex, wonderful food, we went twice on both trips, I did find the shrimp appetizer different on Edge and Apex
The crab cake was on of the best I have had and I have had many in Maryland ..lol
i did not find the music to loud or distracting.
The wait staff was wonderful

I would hope that you would not want to board the ship knowing you are positive, and would test correctly, but the new rules certainly allow for fudging the results.
I suppose it comes down to integrity and doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
I am currently in Rome waiting to board the Edge on Friday, I will test tomorrow, I tested before getting on the plane, and after all negative

So we are in a VBRO in Rome right now, it is listed in VBRO as Silver Fern
We checked in yesterday after flying from Washington DC
So the Pros:
1.clean, 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths with step in showers, sleep 7 , but one of the rooms has a queen bed and a single
2. Washer / Dryer which works well we already did a load
3. Elevator
You can easily walk to a small grocery store, a bar, a few restaurants, and a place for gelato,we ate breakfast in a nice local place outside
we did walk to the Colosseum last evening,
there is a nice park near by with outdoor eating
the bus is on the corner
4. working WiFi
the Cons:
1. Outdated, yet clean
2. no A/C but it is cool now, but the summer might be very hot, there are fans in each room.
3. bare bones, and I mean bare, no welcome basket or welcome letter, nothing
we had to make our own beds , we had linen brought to us ,all clean and fresh
no living room , there is a nice kitchen with a big window and a table with 6 chairs, but no place to just sit and hang out
Overall if you want a clean place to sleep it’s good, but not even close to luxurious ,it is definitely in a local residential neighborhood
Well that’s it, I am happy to answer any follow up questions

We missed a connection, and missed our overseas flight
we had booked through Celebrity and had a flight out of Orlando in the summer with only 2 hour layover in Newark for Paris
I knew the chances of a thunderstorm in the afternoon was high, so I asked for a flight 3 hours earlier, I went through the entire we will check and get back to you, etc etc
in the end they refused to change the flight!! As I predicted a storm delayed our departure,we missed our flight to Paris .
Flights by Celebrity, did get us to Newark that night, transportation to a horrid hotel was provided and the next day we were on our way to Paris.
We had an extra week in France before our cruise so that was fine, I did have insurance that covered our transportation and hotel is Paris
But I missed a day in Paris
I hope all goes well for the OP
Family Cruise with our 16 month old granddaughter
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
My 2 year old grandson is coming with us on a family cruise to Scandinavia, there will be 8 adults.
We are getting an inside connecting cabin, my daughter said she didn’t care about a balcony.
I’m sure we will all be taking turns with him, which none of us mind
My daughters have been cruising since they were babies, I like the flexibility, as opposed to a land vacation
have a great time
