  1. We are on the Apex now. At first the captain announcements are stating the number of cases, and now lately he simply says there are additional cases without giving exact numbers. Also want to give kudos to guest relations for being transparent when we call to ask about the number of cases on board.

Your travel agent should not need to provide any such "proof". He/she should be willing to go up the chain of command to advocate for you. As with all other issues, the answers you get really depend on to whom you are speaking to on the other end of the line. It seems very strange that an X rep would  even ask for proof of a similar example. I was able to shift three reservations from an 8 day to a 9 day (different itinery, same ship, same week). But it took over three hours, going up the chain; phone rep, to supervisor, to resolutions, to group project coordinator. Then I waited three days, did not receive an answer, called back (another hour) and got the go-ahead. Your TA needs to be willing to go the extra mile for you. Even then, the results may be different. Good luck! These are unprecedented times.

Thanks for your input. I understand what my TA should do. That post is quite old now and My TA was able to resolve my issues. Was simply looking for more ammo to take to the fight.

Third time is the charm. I called my TA to cancel my October cruise since there wasn’t an equivalent cruise next year. This time he got my 11 day moved to a 12 day with no added dollars for the extra day. We are happy since we had quite a bit of onboard credit and 4 perks that we were able to keep.

@sn2792 sorry to to ask for this but, I'm trying to do a lift and shift similar to yours, and my travel agent is saying if I can help him provide proof such as a confirmation number of another guest who has gone from 11 day to 12 day with similar itinerary he could help me out with my reservation (saying celebrity is making more expectations now). If you are willing to provide a booking number I would appreciate it. I understand if not.

    Thanks

This was copied from the above link: It will debut with a Northern Europe mini season followed by a summer in the Mediterranean and a winter season of week-long Caribbean sailings.

Thank you, however, I believe that was referring to the Celebrity Apex not the Celebrity Beyond

I've never seen the option to upgrade via the cruise planner. But yes, you can easily upgrade on board. When we sailed the summit Oct. 20, they were offering two bottles of wine per person to upgrade from classic to premium.

If you have the classic package and the upgrade option isn't showing for you in the cruise planner, you will have to call celebrity and ask them to add it so that it shows in the cruise planner. I just had to do it for my upcoming cruise...fairly annoying.
