We just got home after our Anthem cruise. We had a great time and enjoyed our shorter Bermuda cruise. We enjoyed visiting Manhattan since we wanted to take make the best of the situation since we were staying in Jersey City that RC booked for us and paid for. RC provided coach transportation from the port and to hotel. RC sent another coach for us to bring us to the pier after missing it on Sunday since we were gone visiting Manhattan and had not seen the email saying we could board on Sunday instead of Monday like we originally thought. It was a good cruise with a lot less cruisers so not much waiting for elevators, shorter lines at venues and no real problems finding a table during peak hours in Windjammer. It was quite a change compared to our last cruise on Anthem a few years ago on a full ship. People were positive and happy we were departing and the crew was really great. Everyone on the cruise that we spoke to seemed happy with their decision to show up on Sunday or Monday to board the ship.

Just back from breakfast at the hotel and spoke to many fellow cruisers. Everyone I spoke to were happy that they stayed and happy to cruise tomorrow. They are also happy with the RC compensation. We should find out later today at what time the coach will pick us up tomorrow to bring us to the port. Many are making the best of the situation by visiting Manhattan today. We spoke to some people yesterday at the hotel that decided to cancel and go home. I wonder if they regret that decision now with the confirmed negative results.

RC have booked and paid for the hotel rooms. We were also told to keep our receipts for possibly being reimbursed for our meals. We also find that they have done a great job in this difficult situation.

We are also waiting to go on this cruise. RC brought many of us by coach to the Residence Inn in Jersey City, NJ. They had RC staff here all day to help people that had questions since most of the hotel rooms are filled with cruisers. We are staying here until Monday and hoping that the cruise will happen. We are trying to make the best of it and planning on visiting Manhattan tomorrow.

Last April on Harmony, we stayed in Central Park View room 9181 and really enjoyed it. Nice size room, good views and very quiet since it was over the shops. Would book this category room again.

Loved your pictures and review.

Enjoyed your review and pictures. Navigator was my first RCCL cruise many years ago. Makes me want to cruise on her again since she looks shiny and new now.

We have sailed on Carnival Fascination (many years ago) and RCCL Freedom of the Seas on different itineraries. Freedom was such a better ship. We have sailed the ABC islands itinerary on another ship and really enjoyed it compared to the one sailing to St Lucia, St Kitts and Barbados. I would personally pick your first choice due to ship and itinerary.

We cruised on Carnival Liberty a few years ago on a 12 day cruise. We were pleasantly surprised. We prefer RCCL for their ship designs, entertainment and décor but we found the food on Carnival as good or better than Royal. We enjoyed the DIDJA (as in did you ever try) menu items every night in the MDR. It was fun to try different food items (like shark, frog legs) every evening. We preferred their steakhouse restaurant over Chops. We really enjoyed Guy's Burger and Blue Iguana Cantina. We usually cruise with Royal but would cruise with Carnival again depending on the itinerary/price.

We've always cruised in the Caribbean so have done most of the ports multiple times. We still get off the ship to walk around for a few hours but usually back on the ship for a late lunch. We enjoy spending time on a less busy ship while at port. We cruise more for the ship than the islands now.

When we were on Adventure in Dec 2018, we saw many guests, both women and men, wearing jeans and shorts in the MDR. I think guests are following a more casual dress code these days.

Love Central Park. Great place to relax during the day and at night.

On our last cruise in Dec 2018 on Adventure, smoke smell was so bad in the Casino that DH didn't want to spend any time in there. Great on our bank account but not so great for RCCL. It was the cruise where DH spent the least amount of money/least amount of time in the casino due to the awful smoke smell. Would love if RCCL would make the casino a smoke-free area on all their ships.

Sorry you got hurt. Thank you for the advice. I'll make sure to bring a long-sleeved shirt since I was looking forward on going on the slide. I won't chance it just wearing a short-sleeved shirt and risk getting hurt.

Sorry for your loss. Enjoying your review and pictures. Looking forward to boarding the ship at the end of the month. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

I've also sailed both ships. We were on the Adventure in Dec 2018. They were both great ships. I also found that the smoke smell was overwhelming in the Casino. I think this was the worst in all 15+ cruises that I've been on. Food and service were excellent in the MDR. Enjoy your cruise!
